Democratic presidential contenders are descending upon New Hampshire just ahead of the state's primary.

The candidates are tirelessly speaking with voters and holding campaign events, which has led to some interesting moments.

One of those moments came when Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) was asked about her potential pick for Vice President. A spectator asked her who would be her Mike Pence. Specifically, who would look at her with "adoring eyes" the way Vice President Pence looks at President Donald Trump.

Watch below.

Warren responded with the ultimate takedown:

"I already have a dog."

Warren does, in fact, have a dog; a Golden Retriever named Bailey who's become a visible Warren campaign surrogate in his own right.

Bailey is probably more likable than Mike Pence, but Pence's dog-like loyalty to Trump hasn't shaken. Pence has echoed Trump's attacks on the media and posted tweets that even mimic Trump's writing style—rampant capitalization and all. His loyalty remains consistent even when Trump throws him under the bus.

Democrats applauded Warren's expert shade.

New Hampshire's primary begins Monday night.
