One of the more bizarre aspects of Donald Trump's presidency is his obsession with water pressure.

From showers to sinks to dishwashers, the President frequently demonizes calls to address the climate crisis by claiming environmental activists have shorted Americans when it comes to the water pressure in new appliances.

With Trump's presidency circling the drain, his Department of Energy announced two new rules designed to loosen Obama-era restrictions on water pressure in showers and laundry machines.

Deputy Energy Secretary Mark Menezes said:

"[These] final rulemakings allow consumers to choose products that can make their lives easier, more comfortable, and save them time. That time and effort saved can be better spent on the more important things in life."

The changes come after repeated lamentations from Trump that modern showerheads don't produce enough water to properly maintain his hair, which "has to be perfect."

MSNBC's Brian Williams wasn't having it.

In a segment from his Wednesday broadcast, Williams skewered Trump for not putting as much energy into fighting the pandemic that's killed more than 300 thousand Americans.

Williams said of the new rules:

"The standards will just be put back when Biden takes office, but you still have to admire Trump's determination, and you have to wonder: Would we have 300,000 dead if he'd been this diligent, this persistent about our uncontrolled pandemic?"

Cases across the country continue to rise, with 230 thousand new confirmed cases on the day of Williams' broadcast—a new single-day record. Another grim record that day was the 3,234 deaths from the virus.

People sided with Williams.

Trump's actions regarding the virus remain woefully insufficient.

Trump's final day in office is on January 20th of next year.

Dads have a lot to learn when it comes to raising their kids, and in some case, single dads don't always have the same sounding board for their choices as married couples and co-parents.

This isn't talked about enough, but dads with daughters have the added pressure of learning how to take care of girls, from dressing them to taking care of their hair, which can be a very different experience from raising boys. If they weren't raised with sisters or female cousins, they could be at a total loss for how to approach this.
