Sometimes when I'm bored I will Google bars and restaurants in other countries, look at their menu and try to decide what I would get to eat/drink if I was there. It helps me kill time and who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to eat at one of these places.

I go to the courthouse and I watch trials. The day I turned 30 years old, I saw a former policeman get 30 years jail time for murdering an old lady. That had some kind of resonance for me.

I run incredibly detailed simulations of sports leagues using pen and paper, childrens toys, and ocassionally elements of chance like dice, coins, etc.

I occasionally use a licensed video game of a specific sports league in order to keep better track of stats and trends.

Designing new types of pasta. It's fun to think of all the elements of it (shape, ingredients, texture, etc.) and how you can innovate upon them to create something completely new. I always loved sculpture, but this is even better because it's pasta and I get to eat it.

I go "Trash Fishing." I go out in a little boat and hunt for trash. My son invented this hobby after we caught no fish. I'm all in now. I pull hundreds of pounds of trash out of the Detroit River each time I go.
