The E Street Band member riled up a conservative troll after sharing a photo with Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin and CBS News reporter Robert Costa on Twitter.

E Street Band member Steven Van Zandt called out a conservative troll who told him to "keep politics" out of his music after Van Zandt posted a photo of himself with Maryland Democratic Senator Jamie Raskin.

Van Zandt earlier made headlines after gifting a head covering to Representative Jamie Raskin, who is currently battling cancer. The photo shows himself and Raskin sporting their matching headgear.

Van Zandt wrote:

"My brother from another mother!"

The E Street Band member shared a second photo including CBS News reporter Robert Costa.

Van Zandt wrote:

"My DC bodyguards, Robert Costa and Jamie Raskin!"

You can see Van Zandt's second tweet below.

Not long afterward, a conservative troll—who later limited who could see their tweets—advised him to "keep politics" out of his music.

But any fan of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band knows politics has been part of their music for decades.

Van Zandt responded with the following comeback:

Fans praised Van Zandt for calling out the troll.

Raskin announced his diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma last year, describing it as "serious but curable." Despite the challenges of his illness, Raskin has continued to serve as a Congressman and fight for the causes he believes in.

Last month, Raskin received a special gift from Van Zandt, who he has referred to as "one of the greatest musicians on earth." The gift, a head covering similar to the one Van Zandt often wears, was clearly appreciated by the Congressman who praised the gesture on social media.

Van Zandt, who is known for his distinctive style and love of head coverings, has long been an icon of the music world. He has also become increasingly involved in political activism in recent years, using his platform to advocate for causes he believes in, such as gun control and Indigenous and immigrant rights.

Raskin, meanwhile, has become a key figure in the fight against Donald Trump and the rise of far-right extremism in the United States. His outspoken views on issues such as impeachment and election integrity have earned him both admirers and critics, but his commitment to his principles remains unwavering.

Actor Pedro Pascal recently explained why he said Harry Potter author and anti-trans activist JK Rowling behaves like a "heinous loser," and suffice it to say he has absolutely no regrets.

The comment came in reference to Rowling gloating over the U.K. Supreme Court's recent decision to define what exactly constitutes a "woman" in the eyes of U.K. law, a decision that subjects trans people to violence, among other problems.

Trump Ripped After Posting Disturbing Parody Music Video About His Attack On Iran

President Donald Trump is facing harsh criticism after he shared a music video featuring the 1980 song "Bomb Iran"—a parody of The Regents song "Barbara Ann" that is best known for being covered by the Beach Boys—amid a ceasefire between Israel and Iran that could further inflame tensions in the Middle East.

The controversial parody song by Vince Vance & the Valiants plays over footage of B-2 stealth bombers, the same aircraft used to drop 14 GBU-57 bunker-buster bombs on Iranian nuclear facilities, including the Fordow enrichment plant, Natanz complex, and Isfahan site.

Trump Just Tried To Slam Zohran Mamdani's Looks And Voice—And It Was Projection At Its Finest

President Donald Trump lashed out at Zohran Mamdani after the 33-year-old democratic socialist handily defeated former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in New York City's Democratic mayoral primary on Tuesday—only to be called out for projecting his own feelings of inadequacy onto the star candidate.

Mamdani ran a campaign centered around economic populism, arguing that the city, a global financial center, has grown unaffordable for everyday residents, citing soaring rents and grocery prices, and outlining policies aimed at reducing the cost of living.
