Cyberattacks are a growing concern in light of recent attacks on the Colonial Pipeline and JBS meat processing. The increase of these attacks has prompted proposals for the tightening electronic security as part of American infrastructure.
Former President Donald Trump recently commented on these cyberattacks in a Fox Business interview, but his suggestion was more regressive than most.
Trump appeared to suggest the United States should return to the use of paper in order to protect from future attacks.

Trump: The solution to cyberattacks is to stop using computerswww.youtube.com
Trump told Fox Business host Stuart Varney:
"The way you stop it is you go back to a much more old-fashioned form of accounting and things. You know, I have a son who is so good with computers. He's a young person and he can make these things sing and when you put everything on internet and on all of these machines -- you never see a piece of paper -- I really think that you have to go back to a different form of accounting, a different form of compiling information."
He cited his son Barron's technology acumen as part of his argument:
"As a young person, my 15-year-old son is, you know, he's just a genius with this stuff, and you have people that are going to break into systems. I think you have to go back and you have to be much more reliant, there has to be much better security."
The idea was widely mocked for its lack of feasibility.
LOL...TFG wants us to stop using computers now. Next thing you know, he'll tell us to travel by horse & buggy:https://twitter.com/TeaPainUSA/status/1402273551789531151\u00a0\u2026— Allyson Ford (@Allyson Ford) 1623164067

Some likened it to the time Trump suggested injecting bleach as a cure for the virus that's killed nearly 600 thousand Americans.
Like we're supposed to listen to the guy who suggested injecting bleach and putting of UV light up our butts?
