Cameron Hogg has been charged with murder in the shooting death of Asia Womack, Dallas police announced.

On October 3, 21-year-old Asia Womack was shot to death in Dallas, Texas reportedly over the results of a pick-up basketball game.

The shooter, Cameron Hogg, 31, was taken into custody by Dallas police after a warrant was issued for his arrest.

According to Womack's family, she was playing basketball against Hogg at a nearby park. Womack won the game.

They say the shooter who was a "friend of Asia's" took his children and brother home, went back to the park and shot Womack five times as she was walking home.

First responders found Womack on the sidewalk with multiple gunshot wounds. She died in a local hospital that evening.

Womack's mother told Fox News 4 in Dallas:

"This was supposed to be a friend of Asia's. She's eaten with the man."
"She's fed him, and he turned on her and killed her in a vicious way."
