Steve-O revealed on his 'Wild Ride!' podcast how he asked the talk show host to respect his 16 years of sobriety by not smoking marijuana in front of him during a proposed interview on Maher's podcast, and Maher refused.

On a recent episode of his podcast Wild Ride!, Jackass star Steve-O revealed that he had to turn down an interview with Bill Maher because Maher refused to refrain from smoking marijuana during the episode despite Steve-O's request to respect his nearly 16 years of sobriety.

While speaking with Patrick Bet-David, who recently sat down with Maher on his Club Random podcast, Steve-O said he was disappointed in the way the host spoke with Bet-David during the episode.

He then shared his dissatisfaction with his own interaction with Maher when he was invited to be a guest on Club Random.

Steve-O first noted that he is going on 16 years sober.

“I’m a clean and sober guy. It’s very important that I maintain my sobriety, it’s approaching 16 years. I am about to be sweet 16."
"Really, there’s nothing I value more than my sobriety. There’s nothing more that I protect than my recovery."

But it was clearly not important to Maher.

"I found it kind of upsetting when the Bill Maher podcast reached out and he smokes pot the whole time while he interviews people."
"I said I’d happily go on there, but while I’m on, out of respect for my sobriety, could he refrain from smoking pot."
"He said no and that’s a dealbreaker.”

Steve-O then expressed his surprise, especially given other marijuana-enthusiastic hosts have honored his request without hesitation.

“Mike Tyson’s podcast is called ‘Hotboxin.'"
“Be real! All of these prolific potheads, I’ve been on their shows and it wasn’t so important to them to blow marijuana smoke in my face, but for Bill Maher it was a dealbreaker.”

While a few viewers felt Maher shouldn't have felt the need to not smoke on Steve-O's account...

Others felt Maher's refusal spoke volumes about his respect for Steve-O, and many noted Maher doesn't always treat his guests the best, anyway.

Many also took the opportunity to congratulate the Jackass star on his sobriety.

It was also mentioned that Maher refrained from lighting up out of respect for guest Sheryl Crow just last month.

Don Jr. Reveals Alarmingly Telling Criteria For Trump's Cabinet Picks—And We're So Doomed

Donald Trump Jr. was criticized after he told Fox News what criteria he has for his father's Cabinet picks—revealing that in a second Trump administration, loyalty is the name of the game.

That's very on brand for Donald Trump, whose own vice president-elect, J.D. Vance, has previously shared information about the Trump campaign's vetting processes—which includes asking people, with no sense of irony, if they've committed crimes.

'SNL' Fans Are Very Divided Over What Maya Rudolph Should Do This Week After Election Loss

Tuesday's election results have a sickening feeling of déjà vu, and with Saturday fast approaching, many are wondering how Saturday Night Live will handle the election results.

For some, the show's approach to Hillary Clinton's loss in 2016 is top of mind. That Saturday night, former castmember Kate McKinnon, who'd played Clinton throughout the election cycle, appeared in the show's cold open to play and sing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah."
