People Are Now Saying 'The Simpsons' Predicted That Fortnite Black Hole Event

The Simpsons has a penchant for prophecy.

After already accurately predicting the presidency of Donald Trump, fans have had their eyes peeled to see what else The Simpsons has accurately prophesized.


Fortnite—a popular battle royale style video game where players compete against each other online on a virtual map—just finished the 10th competition season.

But after the end of Fortnite's 10th season, an asteroid hit the map and replaced the terrain with a black hole, leaving many people unable to get into the game at all.

And the internet is seizing this opportunity to draw another parallel to The Simpsons universe.

In this episode, Springfield eventually gets sucked into a black hole.




Fortnite is currently in a holding pattern until the beginning of the new season, with the old map completely inaccessible.

Players who log in are met with "a technical difficulties screen and then nothing," according to LadBible.
