Kim Kardashian Roasted After Seemingly Awkward Photo Fail At Jeff Bezos' Wedding Goes Viral
Jul 01, 2025
Kim Kardashian may be the queen of the social media snap, but she's getting roasted online for her latest attempt at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's wedding in Venice.
From the elaborate trappings and guest list to the weeks of angry protests by Venetians furious that a Trump-funding technofascist and his celebrity sycophants were taking over their city for days on end, the wedding was nothing short of a spectacle.
And that included the Kardashians' arrival, though likely not for the reasons they intended.
As the billionaire family arrived by boat, Kim posed for yet another iconic social media photo—except it seemed sister Khloé had other ideas.
As Kim did her best 2009 duckface and peace-sign combo for Khloé's camera, it appeared that Khloé was instead taking a selfie. And the internet couldn't help but guffaw.
The Kardashians were far from the only glitzy attendees of Bezos and Sánchez's wedding, which included the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Ivanka Trump, Usher, Tom Brady, and, bizarrely given her lifelong liberal politics and career based on elevating the best of humanity, Oprah Winfrey.
But hey, why let the fact that the groom helped fund a fascist takeover of the United States that is actively in the process of committing unconstitutional human rights violations and trying to end desegregation come between you and his wedding, right?
Anyway! Even with all that star power, the Kardashian-Jenner clan overshadowed them all with their hilarious photo gaffe.
Kim basically invented the selfie, after all—even her wax figure at Madame Tussaud's is taking a selfie, and she published a literal coffee table book of her selfie photos. You're slipping, Kim!
And accordingly, the internet got to work absolutely roasting Kim for the slip-up—and applauding Khloe for her sense of humor.
However—plot twist! It turned out that Khloe wasn't the one taking the picture of Kim in that moment.
Paparazzi photos of the moment revealed what was actually going on: Kris Jenner was taking a photo of BOTH sisters, and Khloe was taking a quick selfie beforehand, or maybe just checking her hair and makeup first.

Once Khloe was done doing her hair and makeup check or selfie or whatever she was up to, she quickly turned around and joined her sister in the same pose—well, sans duckface that is.

So there you go, mystery solved: Kim Kardashian is still the queen of the selfie. Thank goodness this has been cleared up!

CNN's Abby Phillip Shares Classy Clapback After Trump Lashes Out At Her On Social Media
Jul 01, 2025
During the first term of MAGA Republican President Donald Trump, his relationship with the press was probably best described as volatile. He had his favorites—the ones that stroked his ego—and the ones he called "enemies of the people."
CNN has definitely been on Trump’s hit list for years.
On Friday evening, the POTUS took to his own social media platform, Truth Social, to attack the 24-hour news network.
He wrote:
"Where does CNN get its 'talent?' Just watched someone named Abby Phillip lecture her audience on Tariffs and the economy (which is doing record business!)."
"She has absolutely no idea what she is talking about, strictly 3rd rate. Fortunately, the audience has long ago left CNN, and it will only get WORSE. LOSERS ALL!!!"
@realDonaldTrump/Truth Social
CNN News Night host Abby Phillip responded, moments later, on X.
She wrote:
"Thank you for watching Mr. President."
If the audience all left, how did Trump see the episode and comment as it aired? Clearly someone at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue was watching.
People appreciated Phillip's low key dig.
During the episode, Phillip told panelists Scott Jennings, Ashley Allison, Mike Leon, Stacey Schneider, and Joel Rubin that any economic upturn was the result of TACO Trump once again pausing his proposed tariffs.
Phillip said:
"Scott [Jennings] offered one explanation for the highs in the stock market. There are other explanations. Here’s one from Jason Furman, an economist."
"The macro economy is doing decently. He said, especially when it comes to tariffs, the market is now more confident that Trump will back off if necessary."
"He added in April, I think the fear was that he would just plow ahead no matter what. Now, there is a sense that there are realities that he won’t try to blow past."
She added:
"It’s hard to argue, Scott, that that’s not accurate when just this week, today, they’re saying, oh, that 90-day deadline, we’re just going to push it back out another 90 days. So, the market’s basically saying, oh, okay they’re just going to push it back."
After Jennings accused her of saying anything to make Trump wrong, she stated:
"But, genuinely, maybe you could argue that this is a negotiating tactic that is working, fine. But the truth is Trump is, in fact, backing down and the markets have calmed because of that."
There are few things Trump hates more than the truth.
Except maybe when it's delivered by a woman of color.

MAGA Rep. Ripped For Racist Reaction To Mamdani Eating Rice With His Hands In Campaign Video
Jul 01, 2025
Texas Republican Representative Brandon Gill is facing harsh criticism after he told New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani to "go back to the Third World" after Mamdani shared a video of himself eating rice and lentils with his hands and talking about how his upbringing in Uganda and South Africa shaped his understanding of the Palestinian struggle.
At one point during his meal, Mamdani, who was raised in an Indian family, said:
"When you grow up as someone, especially in the Third World, you have a very different understanding of the Palestinian struggle. It is one that is framed in terms of empathy and solidarity."
The video featuring his remarks were later shared by the far-right account @EndWokeness, throwing red meat at the MAGA base.
A furious Gill shared the video and commented:
"Civilized people in America don’t eat like this. If you refuse to adopt Western customs, go back to the Third World."
You can see his post below.
The backlash against Gill was swift and many condemned his racist remarks.
It also didn't take long for critics to point out that Gill is married to the daughter of far-right commentator Dinesh D'Souza, who was born and raised in Mumbai.
And D'Souza has absolutely eaten with his hands, as evidenced by one social media user who shared an image of the man doing just that and remarked:
"Notice anything? Are you planning to send them back to [a] third world country too?"
You can see the post and the image below.
@m7md_msl/X
People called Gill out for his hypocrisy there as well.
In India, the custom of eating with one's hands encourages a deeper awareness of what one is eating, making the act of dining more mindful and personal. By using their hands, people engage all their senses, creating a richer and more intentional eating experience.
This custom is also rooted in religious stories and ancient beliefs, where deities are often depicted eating with their hands to show modesty and a connection to the earth. These traditions have been preserved over generations, and today, eating with hands remains an important and respected ritual in many Indian communities.

Homeland Security Slammed After Sharing Bonkers AI Image To Promote 'Alligator Alcatraz'
Jul 01, 2025
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) came under fire after it shared an AI-generated image of alligators wearing ICE hats to promote a proposed "Alligator Alcatraz" immigration detention center in the Florida Everglades, a decision that prompted critics to call out the post's fascistic and cruel nature.
The image shows the alligators in caps marked “ICE” beside a barbed-wire fence and was captioned simply:
"Coming soon.”
"Alligator Alcatraz" is designed to house up to 5,000 detainees and leverages the region’s natural isolation and wildlife as security features. The concept emerged from Governor Ron DeSantis’s administration, which invoked emergency powers to fast-track construction.
The posted image came just days after Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier first outlined the project during a recent Fox News appearance, noting that any attempted escapees would face the threats of alligators and pythons beyond its walls.
You can see the agency's post and the image below.
@DHSgov/X
The facility is projected to cost the state of Florida roughly $450 million annually to operate and help President Donald Trump’s administration carry out what its members have described as the largest mass deportation operation in U.S. history.
Supporters argue that the site offers a cost-effective and secure solution to increased immigration enforcement needs. But critics—immigration attorneys, human rights groups, and civil liberties advocates—say the remote location and speed of deployment raise serious ethical and legal concerns, particularly regarding transparency, access to legal counsel, and due process protections.
Many have condemned the inherent cruelty of the agency's post.
The center's first phase is expected to become operational within days, according to state officials. Initially providing between 500 and 1,000 beds, the facility plans to expand in 500-bed increments, aiming to reach full capacity of 5,000 detainees by early July.
The site will rely on soft-sided, temporary structures in its early stages, including repurposed FEMA trailers formerly used for disaster response, promoted by officials as a cost-effective housing solution. Permanent structures may be added later.
Operated by the Florida Division of Emergency Management, the facility is being fast-tracked under the state’s immigration emergency declaration, which enables rapid deployment of resources. National Guard personnel trained through the 287(g) program—a controversial partnership with ICE allowing local law enforcement to perform immigration enforcement duties—will assist in day-to-day operations.
On Saturday, the site drew protests from environmental and Indigenous groups who argue the project threatens fragile ecosystems and sacred lands. Hundreds of demonstrators gathered near the remote airstrip off U.S. Highway 41, or Tamiami Trail, as dump trucks hauled in materials.
