TikToker Steph Bohrer was sitting in the airport when a pilot dropped a love note written on a napkin on her table and walked away—and viewers are divided over the romantic gesture.

Sometimes when we take a flight, we receive something extra, like getting bumped up to a higher class, but most of us can't say that we've received a complimentary love note with our flight.

Popular lifestyle TikToker Steph Bohrer can, though!

While waiting for a flight alongside her friend, Maya, the 23-year-old from New Jersey was surprised when a brown paper napkin was placed in front of her on the table she was sitting at. A man in a pilot uniform had stealthily approached the table, slipped the note onto it, and left before either woman could get a good look at him.

The note read:

"I have seen the whole world, and you are the most beautiful human in it."

Bohrer and her friend both thought the note was super sweet and surprising, so Bohrer recorded a "quick, cute little TikTok" about it and went on with her flight, not thinking anything of it.

i didn’t even see his face

While some viewers thought the note was a cute gesture, most assumed this was the guy's standard pickup line.

Others agreed and assumed the worst, thinking that the pilot was probably married and a serial cheater.

But some in the comments section still believed in love and were on the lookout for the next big rom-com.

Bohrer was overwhelmed by all of the feedback she received from the short clip.

Some TikTokers were on a mission to reunite Bohrer with the man so that they could start their fated love story together, while others warned her of the likelihood that this guy did not have good intentions and likely had a wife at home.

Some even went so far as to analyze the handwriting in the video with handwriting that they found in Bohrer's older videos to see if she faked the note altogether!

In a short follow-up video, she explained that the whole situation was much simpler than that, and that it was simply a sweet gesture that she wanted to document and share from her trip.

While smiling, Bohrer said:

"I might frame it and put it up somewhere in my house!"

storytime I guess

While many assumed the worst about the note, there was really nothing to worry about, since Bohrer hadn't tried to track the pilot down and start a conversation with him. She'd simply enjoyed the gesture for what it was, a kind compliment, and moved on with the rest of her trip.

Sometimes it's okay to look at kind gestures from the surface and not read so much into them.
