Arnold Schwarzenegger Calls Out Trump's 'Bullsh*t' In Powerful Post Endorsing Kamala Harris
Oct 30, 2024
Actor and former Republican California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger criticized former President Donald Trump in a strongly-worded post on X, formerly Twitter, explaining why he is voting for Vice President Kamala Harris and rejecting "four more years of bulls**t" under Trump.
Schwarzenegger acknowledged he doesn't often endorse people publicly but understands "that people want to hear from me because I am not just a celebrity, I am a former Republican Governor."
While he is currently unhappy with both major political parties, he stressed his commitment to policymaking, a governmental necessity he feels has taken a backseat to partisan infighting.
He noted:
"My time as Governor taught me to love policy and ignore politics. I’m proud of the work I did to help clean up our air, create jobs, balance the budget, make the biggest infrastructure investment in state history, and take power from the politicians and give it back to the people when it comes to our redistricting process and our primaries in California."
"That’s policy. It requires working with the other side, not insulting them to win your next election, and I know it isn’t sexy to most people, but I love it when I can help make people’s lives better with policies, like I still do through my institute at USC, where we fight for clean air and stripping the power from the politicians who rig the system against the people."
"Let me be honest with you: I don’t like either party right now. My Republicans have forgotten the beauty of the free market, driven up deficits, and rejected election results. Democrats aren’t any better at dealing with deficits, and I worry about their local policies hurting our cities with increased crime."
"It is probably not a surprise that I hate politics more than ever, which, if you are a normal person who isn’t addicted to this crap, you probably understand."
The actor—best known for his starring role in the Terminator franchise—called out Trump, pointing out that "rejecting the results of an election is as un-American as it gets" and that "To someone like me who talks to people all over the world and still knows America is the shining city on a hill, calling America a trash can for the world is so unpatriotic, it makes me furious."
He then announced his endorsement for Harris and her running mate Tim Walz, explaining:
"And I will always be an American before I am a Republican. That’s why, this week, I am voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. I’m sharing it with all of you because I think there are a lot of you who feel like I do. You don’t recognize our country. And you are right to be furious."
"For decades, we’ve talked about the national debt. For decades, we’ve talked about comprehensive immigration reform that secures the border while fixing our broken immigration system. And Washington does nothing. The problems just keep rolling, and we all keep getting angrier, because the only people that benefit from problems aren’t you, the people."
"The only people that benefit from this crap are the politicians who prefer having talking points to win elections to the public service that will make Americans’ lives better. It is a just game to them. But it is life for my fellow Americans. We should be pissed!"
Schwarzenegger went on to note just why Trump is unfit for office, drawing attention to Trump's authoritarian tendencies and willingness to foster hate and division:
"But a candidate who won’t respect your vote unless it is for him, a candidate who will send his followers to storm the Capitol while he watches with a Diet Coke, a candidate who has shown no ability to work to pass any policy besides a tax cut that helped his donors and other rich people like me but helped no one else else, a candidate who thinks Americans who disagree with him are the bigger enemies than China, Russia, or North Korea - that won’t solve our problems."
"It will just be four more years of bullshit with no results that makes us angrier and angrier, more divided, and more hateful. We need to close the door on this chapter of American history, and I know that former President Trump won’t do that."
"He will divide, he will insult, he will find new ways to be more un-American than he already has been, and we, the people, will get nothing but more anger."
He concluded:
"That’s enough reason for me to share my vote with all of you. I want to move forward as a country, and even though I have plenty of disagreements with their platform, I think the only way to do that is with Harris and Walz."
"Vote this week. Turn the page and put this junk behind us. And even if you disagree with me, vote, because that’s what we do as Americans. http://vote.org."
You can see his post below.
Many welcomed his endorsement.
Schwarzengger's comments came after Trump appeared at New York City's Madison Square Garden for a rally that's been largely compared to a Nazi rally Adolf Hitler's followers held in 1939.
Trump said that if elected he would "launch the largest deportation program in American history to get the criminals out" and pledged to "get critical race theory and transgender insanity the hell out of our school." In a classic case of projection, he called Harris a "train wreck who has destroyed everything in her path."
Last week, retired Marine General John Kelly, who previously served as Trump’s White House chief of staff, said Trump “certainly prefers the dictator approach to government.” It was also Kelly who confirmed to The Atlantic that Trump privately commended Hitler's generals for their loyalty, stating he wanted "the kind of generals that Hitler had."

Jennifer Garner Screaming Through A Haunted House With Her Son Is All Of Us
Oct 30, 2024
With Halloween just around the corner, it appears the spooky festivities that began as early as August in some places are starting to wind down.
But that doesn't mean the scares are necessarily over. People are getting their fill of the creepy holiday season right up until the last minute.
While competing in Halloween costume contests, trick-or-treating, or watching Nightmare on Elm Street may be more people's speed, conquering haunted mazes are others' go-to Halloween activity.
Not for Jennifer Garner.
Unlike those who seek the scary adrenaline rush of haunted mazes, the 13 Going on 30 actor is not a fan of walking through the dark with intermittent jump-scares and being relentlessly pursued by ghouls lurking around every corner.
The 52-year-old Hollywood star posted a hilarious video of her walking through a haunted maze with her 12-year-old son Samuel, and she is not great at being a comforting presence for her child, even though he seems fine on his own.
You can watch the clip here.
“Mom, you’re breaking my hand. I can’t actually feel my hand," Samuel is heard complaining at one point.
Garner's running commentary in the selfie video of her experience is all treat.
“I see you. I see you! I SEE YOU!” she tells a lurking scare actor at one point.
She also shared what she doesn't appreciate during haunted house excursions.
“I don’t like when they pursue us. Don’t pursue!” she told her costumed tormentors ignoring her request to be left alone.
At one point, Garner engages in a one-way conversation with a sinister presence.
“There’s a person. I see you, and I’m not frightened of you.”
“I’m not who you want. Take my son!”
Her complaint about the atmosphere was exactly what fans of haunted mazes prefer.
“Too dark, too dark! Too smokey!” she said.
The video was captioned with a ghost emoji flanked by "No thank you" dash emojis.
Fans were in stitches watching the skittish action movie star.

Weird Al Had People Rolling With The Perfect Nazi Pun In Response To Trump's MSG Rally
Oct 30, 2024
Comedy musician "Weird Al" Yankovic had a "heil" of a time interacting with a fan on social media in response to expectations for his 2025 show at Madison Square Garden.
The iconic Manhattan arena was where Republican candidate Donald Trump held a rally on Sunday that sparked controversy for its violent rhetoric, lies, and racism, most notably exhibited by guest speaker Tony Hinchcliffe, who remarked that Puerto Rico was "a floating island of garbage."
Yankovic, the biggest-selling comedy recording artist in history with five Grammys, announced his BIGGER & WEIRDER 2025 Tour, a multimedia comedy rock show that will include fan-favorite hit songs and parodies that have made him a mainstay in the genre over the last four decades.
In advance of his upcoming MSG show, the singer of "Eat It"—a parody of Michael Jackson's "Beat It"—promised fans planning to attend that it would be a much more positive experience than Trump's racist rally.
"MY Madison Square Garden Show will be MUCH funnier," he wrote on Threads.
A fan agreed and responded to his comment, writing:
"I'm sure you'll have a lot less Nazis at your show too."
Yankovic, a master of puns, replied with the following grammatical correction—with a Nazi twist.
"I think you meant to say "a lot fuehrer."
@alredyankovic/X
Of course, the play on the word "fewer" spelled differently was a nod to Führer, the title associated with German Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
Yankovic's fans were here for his response.

Whoopi Goldberg Epically Fact-Checks Joe Rogan Over Trump's Old 'The View' Appearance
Oct 30, 2024
Whoopi Goldberg was eager to clarify misinformation with video evidence in light of all the "fake news" Republicans are spinning in the media leading up to the election, now less than a week away.
On Tuesday, The View co-host slammed podcaster Joe Rogan for his three-hour interview last week with Republican candidate Donald Trump, who stopped by The Joe Rogan Experience as part of his campaign to appeal to young male voters.
Goldberg played a clip of Rogan in his interview reminding Trump that he stopped by The View, "I think it was 2015 or 2016, when you were running for President," to which Trump responded, "Right."
"Okay let's stop there," Goldberg said after pausing the clip. She informed the audience there was "a lot of fake news coming up, so we're gonna clear some of it up as it happens."
She would know because she was there.
As Goldberg displayed a vintage shot of Trump's guest appearance on The View, she confirmed his appearance was on the March 23, 2011 episode "four years before he announced he was running, okay?"
"That’s the first thing they got wrong," she said and resumed with her fact-checking.
The EGOT winner showed another clip from the Rogan interview in which he claimed Trump received a warm reception after being introduced by then View co-host Barbara Walters as "our friend Donald Trump" and that Goldberg, Joy Behar gave him each a "big hug and a kiss."
"They loved you," Rogan told Trump.
The camera cut back to The View studio showing Goldberg appearing unamused with Rogan's chirpy recollection.
"Here's the actual appearance," she told the audience and played back the footage showing Trump joining the co-hosts on stage greeting them individually and leaning in for a kiss. The vintage clip showed Goldberg with a blank expression as Trump greeted her before sitting down.
Cut to the present, Goldberg elicited laughter when she told viewers:
"So, Barbara was her usual polite self as she was with every guest, but did I look warm and fuzzy? Was that a warm and fuzzy welcome from moi?”
You can watch Goldberg presenting visual evidence of Rogan's misleading recollection of Trump's appearance on The View, here.
Goldberg noted that she dialed it back out of respect for Walters, who told the co-hosts to "be polite to guests no matter what.”
She added:
“And, for the most part, I got through. I did it, like I do now!”
The final clip from Rogan's interview was something Goldberg said was where "They really messed up," and it showed the podcaster telling Trump that his appearance on The View cast him in a "favorable light."
“Honey? Joe? I think you missed this part," said Goldberg, as the clip showed her firing back at the then real estate mogul for demanding former Democratic President Barack Obama show his birth certificate to prove his US citizenship.
“Oh my God! That is just the worst thing,” Goldberg remarked at the time.
In response to Trump claiming he "loved" Goldberg while refusing to back down, Goldberg returned the sentiment out of social etiquette but maintained his demand was "The biggest pile of dog mess I’ve heard in ages.”
She continued railing against Trump in the episode, suggesting his comment was because Obama "was Black," which Trump refuted.
Goldberg declared at the time:
"I’ve never heard any white President ask to be shown their birth certificate."
"When you become a President of the United States of America, you know that he’s American! I’m sorry, that’s B.S.”
Back to the present, Goldberg told viewers:
“Look, this show has allowed all kinds of people to come on it—people we agree with, people we don’t agree with."
“I’ve not been a fan of this man’s, I don’t like how he talks to us, I don’t like how he talks to the nation."
"So I have not really had much to say until he started running for president. Then I could say everything I needed to say. My face said everything else.”
Fans commended Goldberg for fighting the good fight.
Users continued sharing thoughts.
When co-host Ana Navarro asked Goldberg if she ever liked Trump, Goldberg answered:
“He’s been in New York forever. He’s a New York person and been a New York character."
However, Goldberg maintained that "being a character on television" was a "lot different than being the President of the United States.

Donald Trump's Reaction To Michelle Obama's Harris Rally Speech Sounds A Lot Like A Threat
Oct 30, 2024
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has given his review of former First Lady Michelle Obama's comments about him in a recent campaign rally in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
Surprise! Trump wasn't a fan. But the way he registered his displeasure sounded to many suspiciously like a threat.
At his rally in Atlanta, Georgia on Monday, Trump said Obama was "nasty" to him, before issuing her a warning.
In uncharacteristically candid style, the "when they go low, we go high" spirit that Obama called for during the 2016 election has clearly been dispensed with.
Obama laid into Trump, criticizing everything from his character to his governing style, essentially chalking up his entire political career to the lower standards he's been held to compared to Kamala Harris.
She said:
"We expect her to be intelligent and articulate, to have a clear set of policies, to never show too much anger, to prove time and a time again that she belongs."
"But for Trump, we expect nothing at all, no understanding of policy, no ability to put together a coherent argument, no honesty, no decency, no morals."
She also implored the crowd not to forget how terrible Trump's presidency was.
"Remember how woefully unprepared he was, how he was sowing seeds of fear and confusion, endangering lives with his lies and ignorance, denigrating the doctors and scientists trying to help us..."
"...Let us not forget how badly that worked out for all of us."
Unsurprisingly, Trump wasn't happy about these comments, but of course he couldn't respond like a normal person.
He told the crowd:
"You know who was nasty to me? Michelle Obama. I always tried to be so nice and respectful.”
Trump spent years claiming President Obama was born in Kenya and hence unfit to be President, but sure.
He went on to say:
"She opened up a little bit of a, a little bit of a box. She opened up a little bit of something. Oh, she was nasty, oooh.”
“That was a big mistake that she made."
That last part definitely raised eyebrows—to many it sounded explicitly like a threat, and many said so on social media.
Of course others made fun of the very notion that Michelle Obama would ever be frightened of the likes of Donald Trump.
Naturally, conservatives immediately began bellyaching online about how Trump never threatened her and liberals were ginning up a lie about his comments.
But leave it to Trump's crowd in Atlanta to understand exactly what Trump means by his comments, reprising a favorite old MAGA chant and repurposing it for Michelle Obama: "Lock her up."
