Donald Trump Said Rudy Giuliani 'Looks for Corruption Wherever He Goes' and the Jokes Came Rolling In

Donald Trump Said Rudy Giuliani 'Looks for Corruption Wherever He Goes' and the Jokes Came Rolling In
CNN

Oh dear.

After the arrests of several associates of President Donald Trump's personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, the press asked the President if he was concerned.

Mired in an impeachment inquiry of his own which includes actions taken by his personal lawyer on his behalf, concerns would be warranted. However the President reaffirmed his commitment to Giuliani.

In a response full of accolades, Trump stated:

"I think Rudy is a great gentleman. He’s been a great crime fighter. He looks for corruption wherever he goes."

Trump added:

"He was the greatest mayor in the history of New York and he’s been one of the greatest crime fighters and corruption fighters."

Watch his full response here.

However rather than concur with the President's assessment of Giuliani as the greatest New York city mayor of all time, people found the set up too hard to resist. Specifically this line;

"He looks for corruption wherever he goes."

People jumped on the chance to reinterpret Trump's message.  Including several of his Twitter nemeses, like George Conway.

While it was clearly not the message the President intended, it was the message received.

Some commended the President for assessing the situation correctly.

People fixed the inaccuracies they saw or the incomplete portions of Trump's statement "He looks for corruption wherever he goes."

Some even waxed poetic.

And one person felt inspired to create a poll.

But some weren't buying the rest of the President's answer.

Elsewhere, Rudy Giuliani was possibly having a worse day after "butt dialing" a reporter.

The impeachment inquiry continues into possible foreign influence, quid pro quo, emoluments, obstruction of justice and only time and congressional hearings will tell what else.

As of Friday, October 25, 2019, we are 374 days away from the 2020 election. Are you registered to vote?

GOP Senator Faces MAGA Backlash Over Plan To Sell Millions Of Acres Of Public Land

Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee is facing harsh criticism—including from Team MAGA—over his proposal to sell off millions of acres of public land in the American West owned by the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service to supposedly create more affordable housing.

Lee claimed in his proposal that there is an "extensive process for interested parties like States and local governments to nominate land for disposal to meet housing and community needs," noting that it specifically exempts national parks, monuments, and federally designated wilderness areas from potential land sales.

Trump Ripped For Complaining That Americans Get 'Too Many' Federal Holidays Off Work

While it was ultimately former President Joe Biden who established Juneteenth as a federal holiday, President Donald Trump—who once campaigned on that promise—took to Truth Social on Juneteenth to whine about the number of "non-working holidays" Americans get, claiming that it costs businesses "billions of dollars."

Juneteenth is derived from June 19, 1865, when Union troops led by General Gordon Granger arrived in Galveston, Texas, and declared that all enslaved African Americans in the state were free.
