QAnon Rep Claims Guam National Guard Troops 'Ambushed' Her Office in Bonkers Letter to the Pentagon

In comments at the Conservative Political Action Conference last month, Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) claimed that Guam was a foreign country and shouldn't be entitled to any assistance from the United States.

Greene, whose past support for deranged conspiracy theories got her stripped of her committee assignments in the House, was apparently unaware that Guam has been a United States territory for over a century. What's more, it was a crucial hub for U.S. soldiers in World War II, and there are three U.S. military bases in Guam to this day.

To make Greene aware of this point, Guam's Delegate to the House of Representatives Michael San Nicolas—a Democrat—brought members of Guam's National Guard stationed at the Capitol to Greene's office.

Watch below.

In the video, the service members wait silently outside Greene's office while San Nicolas—who has brought cookies and reading material—talks with a member of Greene's staff. The staff member thanks them for their service and promises the Congresswoman would love to meet them.

But in a letter to the Pentagon, Greene accuses the National Guard members of ambushing her office and warns against what she believes is a "troubling trend" forming at the U.S. Capitol.

In describing the supposed "politicization and misuse of our armed forces," Greene says part of this "dangerous and troubling trend" was when:

"Guam's Congressional Delegate, Michael San Nicolas, leading more than two dozen National Guard troops to ambush my office unannounced and subsequently video record my staff without solicitation or consent."

The accusation is rich, coming from Greene.

Before her election to office, Greene routinely "ambushed" public figures like 17 year old school shooting survivor David Hogg, whom she followed, video recorded, and berated. Greene also showed up to the Capitol and demanded to see Congresswomen Ilhan Omar (D-MN) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI), to make them swear in on the Bible instead of the Quran.

In the letter, Greene goes on to demand the temporary fencing around the Capitol—which was put in place after an actual ambush that Greene's lies helped promote—be taken down.

Her hypocrisy was immediately called out on social media.

People noted that this was a rare "ambush" that involved cookies.

But speaking of troubling trends...

In addition to a friendly visit from National Guard members, Greene's Guam comments also prompted the territory's governor to offer her a history book.

Elizabeth Warren Rips Education Secretary's Mind-Numbing Video For 'Teacher Appreciation Week'

Massachusetts Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren criticized Education Secretary Linda McMahon for paying tribute to educators during "Teacher Appreciation Week," noting the hypocrisy of McMahon's actions as she honors teachers on one hand and works to dismantle the Department of Education on the other.

In March, President Donald Trump signed an executive order empowering McMahon “to the maximum extent appropriate and permitted by law, take all necessary steps to facilitate the closure of the Department of Education and return authority over education to the States and local communities.”
