Lizzo, the three-time Grammy winner known for her internet status as a body positive icon, recently showed that even her confidence falters every once in awhile.

The singer has never been shy about being plus size, and fans have long looked up to her as a source of strength. In the face of toxic body shamers and bullies all over the internet, Lizzo has helped people feel proud to be themselves.

And yet, Lizzo's recent TikTok post reminded folks that even a fearless leader can have a tough day.

"I came home and I took my clothes off to take a shower and I just started having all of these really negative thoughts about myself."

Lizzo looked straight into the camera and candidly shared the destructive inner thoughts that visit her in moments like this.

"Like, 'What's wrong with me? Maybe everything. All the mean things people say about me are true.'
"And, 'Why am I so disgusting?' And hating my body."
"Normally, I would have some positive thing to say to get me out of this, but I don't, and that's OK too."

But true to form, she ended with some optimism.

"I think these are normal. They happen to everybody. They happen to the best of us."
"We are the best of us, and I just have to know that tomorrow how I feel in here is gonna change. And I can only hope that it changes for the better."
"But I know I'm beautiful, I just don't feel it. But I know I'm gonna get through it."

Lizzo fans were grateful for her candor. They lauded the singer for using her platform even in moments like these.

It must have been stressful enough to be a celebrity before social media was a thing: cameras in the face all the time, constant interviews, fans and critics hanging onto every word.

But the internet upped the intensity to a whole new level.

Celebrities like Lizzo are expected to post on about four different platforms. They have to balance marketing their work and brand, staying real to connect with users, and displaying political sharpness.

Oh, and there are an infinite amount of trolls no matter what.

We're just glad Lizzo can rely on a whole trove of supporters on the days that things, understandably, begin to feel like an uphill battle.

Caitlyn Jenner Slammed For Hypocrisy After Revealing That She Asked Trump To Fix Gender On Her Passport So She Can Travel Again

Former Olympian Caitlyn Jenner recently revealed she can no longer travel internationally after the Trump administration's new passport policy required her to be marked as "male," and is receiving backlash for writing a letter to President Donald Trump asking him to get it changed.

Jenner, a transgender woman, has long aligned herself with the MAGA movement, which is diametrically opposed to LGBTQ+ equality and has led an attack against transgender rights that culminated in legislation banning or restricting gender-affirming care in GOP-led legislatures in more than half the country.
