Kim Kardashian was already firmly within the realm of millionaire status when a new partnership presented itself during the pandemic. Coty, which owns many several major beauty industry companies like Rimmel, COVERGIRL and Max Factor, made an offer to Kardashian to purchase 20 percent of her KKW beauty line for 200-million dollars.

In accepting this offer, Kardashian reached billionaire status, which her husband, Kanye West, was all too ready to celebrate publicly.

The puzzling thing was the way he chose to celebrate.

Instead of taking a selfie, opening a bottle of champagne, or writing a new song, Kanye composed a still-life, complete with green and red tomatoes, a tomatillo and a small sampling of flowers. People on Twitter are thoroughly confused about what to do with it.

Kanye wrote:

"I am so proud of my beautiful wife Kim Kardashian West for officially becoming a billionaire"
"You've weathered the craziest storms and now God is shining on you and our family"
"So blessed this is still life"
"So I made you this still life"
"We love you so much"

Some are simply baffled at the composition.

Others have found the announcement to be insensitive, given the hardships many are going through right now.

A few took the opportunity to create their own still-life compositions in response.

Kardashian chose to celebrate in a slightly more straight-forward way, sharing a portrait of herself on social media.

Kardashian simply said:

"So blessed and forever grateful"

She did not mention her husband's still-life.

Whatever Kanye was thinking remains unclear.
