Dave & Buster's announced they were upping their game by allowing patrons to place bets on arcade games.

Shocked social media users are bracing themselves for what they predict will lead to chaos at the restaurant/bar/video arcade establishments in 44 states across the country.

Dave & Buster's customers 18 and over will be able to make a "friendly $5 wager" on various arcade games like Hot Shots basketball and skeeball competitions through the company's new app, powered by the gambling software Lucra.

The increasing popularity and legalization of American sports betting likely influenced the company's new digital gamification upgrade.

The new system will engage gaming patrons by placing bets using real money in the spirit of "friendly competition."

Simon Murray, senior vice president of entertainment and attractions at Dave & Buster’s, touted his enthusiasm, saying:

"We’re thrilled to work with Lucra to bring this exciting new gaming platform to our customers."
“This new partnership gives our loyalty members real-time, unrivaled gaming experiences, and reinforces our commitment to continuing to elevate our customer experience through innovative, cutting-edge technology.”

But customers were not so sure the "innovative" change is a great idea.

They anticipated pandemonium.

People thought it would set a bad precedent.

Users believed this new gimmick wouldn't end well, and that is the one bet they're willing to make.
