If America truly had a "captain," it would likely be the President.
However, considering the generally unheroic behavior of President Donald Trump, many people would rather think of Chris Evans, the man who plays Captain America in the Marvel Universe, as a symbol of what our country is capable of.
After a recent press conference regarding COVID-19, which Trump has repeatedly downplayed the seriousness of in recent weeks, the President quickly left the room before reporters could ask him any questions regarding the pandemic.
Chris Evans noticed this and let the President know how he felt on Twitter.
Chris Evans fans and President Trump critics found themselves united once again.
In 2017, Evans spoke with Esquire about his frequent critiques of President Trump, saying:
"Look, I'm in a business where you've got to sell tickets. But, my God, I would not be able to look at myself in the mirror if I felt strongly about something and didn't speak up."
Evans' tweet made many people wonder how the world would be different with a different President.
Captain America is continuing his fight for our country!
Evans and the President have never been on the best of terms.

As the country goes through a difficult time, it's comforting to know our onscreen "heroes" are trying to be the best they can be offscreen as well.
