Weeks after his cringeworthy reading of Cardi B's and Megan Thee Stallion's "WAP," conservative commentator Ben Shapiro is once again generating mockery on the internet.
His latest bomb was in reaction to President Donald Trump's dramatic return to the White House after three days of treatment for the virus that's killed over 200 thousand Americans.
Upon ascending the White House balcony, Trump defiantly removed his mask, despite still being infected with the virus, before entering the White House.
Shapiro tweeted that Trump's antibodies could hypothetically be what cures the virus—a la the Will Smith apocalypse film I Am Legend—and that Trump would go on to win all 50 states.
You think 2020 has seen its biggest twist? Wait until Trump develops the anti-covid serum using his own antibodies like Will Smith in “I Am Legend," and then wins 50 states.

Spoiler alert:
I Am Legend concludes with Will Smith's character sacrificing his own life to protect the cure for the virus that's brought humankind to the brink of extinction.
The mockery was swift.
Do you enjoy embarrassing yourself like this

The biggest twist would be if Ben Shapiro finishes puberty by the time he is 40.

"I Am Legend" ended with Will Smith blowing himself up with a hand grenade, Ben.

Do any Republicans ever watch all the way to the end of a movie so they can avoid using imagery of the exact opposite effect they're going for?

Did you not finish that movie Ben?

The next day, Shapiro returned to say the joke had gone over his followers' heads.

But unlike the cure in I Am Legend, the addendum did little to stop the burns.
Yes, people pointing out that Will Smith kills himself at the end of the movie means that they didn't get the joke… not that you made a stupid joke.

i always tweet this gif after my jokes that bomb too, so the followers know it's their fault

"I was just kidding, I swear!"
Yeah, sure Ben.

Guy who bursts out with some incredibly stupid thing and then tries to walk it back with a giant "J/K!!!"

Shapiro later followed up with critical tweets of Trump's campaign strategy so far.
If Donald Trump loses by double digits to a comatose 78-year-old career politician plagued by incoherence and logorrhea and pledging to enact the most radical Left-wing agenda in American political history, I'm sorry, but that's on Trump.
— Ben Shapiro (@benshapiro) October 6, 2020
The campaign against Biden isn't difficult. It just requires Trump to take himself out of the spotlight and put Biden in it. And Trump refuses to do it.

Though some of Trump's supporters act as though the President has already recovered from the virus, others are emphasizing that he's been prescribed multiple steroids and is still in treatment.
