One of the most consequential purveyors of former President Donald Trump's lie that the 2020 election was "stolen" from him was his personal lawyer, Rudy Giuliani.

In the weeks after the November election day, Giuliani traveled to swing state after swing state, holding sham hearings and bumbling press conferences where he eagerly propped up Trump's disinformation.

Right before these lies motivated a mob of pro-Trump extremists to storm the United States Capitol, Giuliani suggested having "trial by combat."

Now, Giuliani is facing a comeuppance for the mountain of falsehoods he foisted onto the country during Trump's lame duck period.

On Thursday, an appellate court suspended Giuliani from practicing law in New York State, citing "uncontroverted evidence" that Giuliani peddled "demonstrably false and misleading statements to courts, lawmakers and the public at large" while working as a lawyer for Trump's campaign.

The suspension marks the latest embarrassment for the man once remembered affectionately as "America's Mayor."

Andrew Giuliani—Rudy Giuliani's son, who's running as a Republican for governor of New York—soon posted a video defending his father, as he did after Rudy's home was raided by the FBI earlier this year.

Watch below.

Predictably, Andrew Giuliani blamed supposed leftists for holding his father accountable.

After listing each judge by name, he said:

"This is just unbelievable to see how politicized all of this has become. I am infuriated by all of this ... This is going after one of President Trump's closest allies. That's exactly what this is, and any American who doesn't believe that, they are just biased. This is unacceptable, and I stand by my father."

From the height of the camera to the content of the message, Andrew's video was roasted by the internet.

People found the camera work particularly amusing.

Giuliani's efforts to subvert the election results in Georgia are also being investigated.
