A Throuple Was Just Featured On 'House Hunters', And The Internet Is Officially Obsessed

Polyamory isn't something one sees normalized.

TV and film are littered with couples, mostly heterosexual, and all of the narratives we are fed about healthy relationships (or even unhealthy relationships) generally don't involve more than two people.

Which is why it was really unexpected for a throuple (meaning: three people in a relationship together) to show up on HGTV's House Hunters on a February 12th episode.

Brian, Lori and Geli were shopping for a house in Colorado to fit two kids, enough garage space for three people, and a bathroom with three sinks.

Brian and Lori were already married before they met Geli, and have since both exchanged vows with her.

Even houses are laid out for couples, as the threesome found out during their search for a house.

Considering how rare it is to see any sort of representation of real-life polyamory on television, the responses were incredibly positive.

The throuple ultimately did end up settling on a house.

Will there be more polyamorous representation on TV in this new decade? Who knows, but at least society is beginning to recognize relationships between consenting adults can take many forms.
