The actor and her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, took to TikTok to call out all the hatred Pearman-Maday has received after admitting she didn't watch 'That's So Raven' as a child.

Actor Raven-Symoné, best known as the star of Disney's That's So Raven and as a co-host on The View, is standing up for her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday, who has faced an onslaught of online hate from Symoné's fans.

In a TikTok video posted on May 2, Symoné addressed the negativity directed at her wife and urged fans to stop sending hate and death threats.

In the caption, she wrote:

“Please stop with the death threats and miss information [sic] about @miranda v. pm. Its grown to a place that is completely disrespectful and out of control. Haters will hate and by all means do you boo boo HOWEVER do not spread lies and threaten my wife, marriage, or her character. I chose her and all of her… Stop.”

You can hear what she and Pearman-Maday said in the video below.

Please stop with the death threats and miss information about @miranda v. pm. Its grown to a place that is completely disrespectful and out of control. Haters will hate and by all means do you boo boo HOWEVER do not spread lies and threaten my wife, marriage, or her character. I chose her and all of her…. Stop.

She said:

“I’m here with Miranda, my wife, to tell you to stop it in the comments. And stop with the death threats in her DMs. It is disrespectful to her, and in turn it’s disrespectful to me.”

Pearman-Maday also addressed these trolls, saying that the hate she's received because she never saw That's So Raven before meeting her wife is "wild":

“I hope to clear the air right now and let you all know that I never have once said that I did not know who Raven was. I only ever said that I did not grow up watching That’s So Raven. I did not watch her as a child."
“But since getting married and meeting her in 2015, I have seen the majority of her work. I have also been at a lot of this work. So I mean, backstage at The View, 25 Words or Less, the list goes on and on.”

Pearman-Maday expressed admiration for Symoné's talent, saying:

“I love That’s So Raven. I think she should’ve won all the Emmys. I think my wife is endlessly talented. I support her beyond."
“She also isn’t just Raven-Symoné to me. You guys must try and open your minds a little bit and understand there is more behind people that are celebrities. There is real life here."
"And that’s why we’re feeling inclined to address this, because I’m receiving so much hate for something that is really just a big spiral of internet misinformation.”

Symoné joined her wife in calling out verified accounts that were spreading hate:

“And for all of the blue checks out there acting like trolls… sit down. Just, thank you, no need."

The video quickly went viral on X, formerly Twitter.

Many also came to the couple's defense.

Pearman-Maday's revelation about not watching That's So Raven before meeting Symoné is not new.

In 2022, Symoné said she was very happy to know her wife had never seen the show “before she met me." At the time, she said it's a relief to be with "someone who doesn't look at you like a famous person even though you have been famous your whole entire life."

The couple met completely by chance at a West Hollywood karaoke bar in 2015. They married in 2020 after five years of dating.
