Video Of Princess Kate Clapping At A Basketball Game Goes Viral For All The Wrong Reasons

Prince William and Princess Kate attended a Boston Celtics game on Wednesday as part of their royal tour.

The Prince and Princess of Wales flew in to rainy Boston on Wednesday beginning their three day visit to the city for Prince William's Earthshot Prize Awards ceremony, which will take place on Friday.

The royal couple surprised fans at TD Garden as they sat courtside and watched home team Celtics take on the Miami Heat. The two sat next to some of Boston's own royalty - eight time NBA champ and former Celtics player Thomas "Satch" Sanders, the team's owners and their spouses, and Massachusetts governor-elect Maura Healy.

The prince and princess also took selfies with fellow spectators, stood for the national anthem...endured some booing... and cheered on the Celtics.

During halftime, the Celtics honored a "Hero Among Us," a long-standing tradition with the team. 15-year-old climate activist Ollie Perrault was honored for her work to positively impact the community. William and Kate even chatted with the teen during a break.

The couple seemed to be truly enjoying themselves, even staying the entirety of the game when they were slated to leave during the 3rd quarter.

However, one aspect of their merriment took Twitter by storm—the princess' a pause—err... applause.

The Twitterverse was perplexed.

This is not, however, the first time Kate has been called out for her intermittent self-fives.

Remember Wimbledon 2014?

But alas, as many pointed out, the princess was likely exhausted from her extensive travels.

The Celtics outscored the Heat 134-121, and we're sure the royal couple—even if we couldn't tell—were elated.

After President Donald Trump claimed that his new White House ballroom is "very popular" with the American public, CNN shared a hilariously shady poll that gets to the truth of the matter.

Last year, Trump ordered the demolition of the entire East Wing to make way for a 90,000 square-foot ballroom that will dwarf the size of the White House itself, sparking alarm from historical preservationists and the public alike.

It's well-known across the internet that it takes forever for men to use the restroom. For dads especially, in the time it takes them to poop, when they return to the house, their kids will have aged seven years, and their baby will have learned to walk.

These are jokes, of course, but it's an internet consensus that men spend a really long time on the porcelain throne.

Woman Speaks Out After Prison Sentence To Reveal What Led Her To Hurl Black Paint At Sister-In-Law On Her Wedding Day

In early 2024, 49-year-old Antonia Eastwood married Ashley Monk after about five months of dating. During the ceremony, Antonia tripped while walking down the aisle.

Antonia and Ashley were both suspicious that she did not trip accidentally and that Ashley's sister, Gemma, actually tripped her. Gemma and Antonia were not close, and the couple also believed that Gemma might be jealous that they were marrying after five months, though she'd been with her childhood sweetheart for 20 years without tying the knot.
