During his September 1 speech at Independence Hall in Philadelphia, President Joe Biden warned that Donald Trump and his "Make America Great Again" (MAGA) movement:

“represent an extremism that threatens the very foundations of our republic."

A new Reuters/Ipsos poll that was taken since the speech, found that a majority of Americans agree with the President.

According to the poll, 58% of respondents said they believed the MAGA movement was undermining the foundation of American democracy.

And that includes 1 in 4 Republicans.

Although some thought the 58% number was frighteningly low.

While most Republicans still support Trump, many of his allies appear to have distanced themselves from the former President after the January 6 Capitol siege and his constant peddling of falsities–including that he actually won the 2020 election.

The poll showed that 60% of Republicans did not think Trump's MAGA movement best represented the majority of their party.

During his speech, Biden touched on Trump's MAGA movement that eventually led to the US Capitol insurrection and warned that 45 was still poisoning the 2022 Midterm Elections and the 2024 White House race.

“They look at the mob that stormed the United States Capitol on January 6 brutally attacking law enforcement, not as insurrectionists who placed a dagger at the throat of our democracy, but they look at it (them) as patriots.”
“They see their MAGA failure to stop a peaceful transfer of power after the 2020 election as preparation for the 2022 and 2024 elections."
"This time they are determined to succeed in thwarting the will of the people.”

Reuters did indicate, however, that in spite of the unfavorable view of Trump and his allies, Biden's approval ratings remained low.

Just 39% of pollers said they approved of Biden's job performance as president.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll consisted of 1,003 adult participants, including 411 Democrats and 397 Republicans.

Reuters said the poll has a credibility interval–a measure of precision–of four percentage points.

Dem Rep. Offers Brutally Accurate Reason For Why He Can't Understand 'The Mind Of Donald Trump'

Massachusetts Democratic Representative Seth Moulton made a fitting observation about President Donald Trump's mind after Trump gave a 20-minute address to the nation about his war in Iran on Wednesday evening.

Trump claimed “core strategic objectives are nearing completion” in the Iran war and vowed to strike Iran "extremely hard" over the next two to three weeks. He said that he would finish the job "very fast," without setting any timeline for ending the war. He pledged to "bring them [Iranians] back to the Stone Ages, where they belong.”

Solicitor General Sparks Alarm After Telling Supreme Court He's 'Not Sure' If Native Americans Are Birthright Citizens

The relationship between Indigenous American nations and the colonizers and later settlers who arrived and established the United States is complicated.

Indigenous peoples were integral parts of the survival and success of early colonizers. The Haudenosaunee Confederacy's Great Law of Peace offered a blueprint for the United States Constitution and the structure of the federal government including the three independent branches offering checks and balances, ideally.

Racist Guy Caught On Video Tearing Through Iraqi Soccer Fans' Banner At Dallas Airport: 'Don't Come To America'

With the United States set to host the 2026 World Cup, a video out of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is drawing attention for a very different reason: showing a man ripping apart an Iraqi soccer fan’s banner and telling them, “Don’t come to America.”

The video, posted on Instagram, shows a group of Iraqi sports fans standing in an airport holding a banner with Arabic and Spanish writing. The fans were there to support Iraq during their World Cup qualifier against Bolivia, which resulted in a 2-1 upset victory earlier that day.
