Four students died following a school shooting at Oxford High School in Oxford, Michigan, and a new viral video shows just how terrorizing the incident was for the students who survived.

A clip that has gone viral on TikTok showed the moment when students refused to let a person into their classroom who claimed to be a law enforcement officer, suspecting it was the school shooter trying to trick them into unlocking the door.

The video shows a classroom full of Oxford students crouched down as a knock was heard on their classroom door.

A male voice could then be heard saying:

"Sheriff's office, it's safe to come out.

A student responded by saying that he and his classmates were "not willing to take that risk right now."

The person on the other side of the door gave a reply that only frightened the students more.

"Ok just open the door and look at my badge, bro.”

The word "bro" seemed highly suspicious to the students.

One of them called it a "red flag," triggering the students to run toward the classroom's windows and climb out. They then ran to another part of the school, where a law enforcement officer helped them to safety.

Oakland County Sheriff Michael Brouchard has since confirmed the voice on the other side of the door could not have been the shooter, based on analysis of footage from cameras throughout the school showing the shooter never knocked on any doors.

In a press conference, Brouchard explained:

"We have now been able to determine that was not the suspect."
"More than likely, it was one of our plain-clothes detectives, and he may have been talking 'bro' in a conversational manner to try to bring them down from the crisis."
"The suspect, we have now confirmed by analyzing all of the video from the time it began to the time we took him into custody never knocked on a door."

Nevertheless, the video makes clear the terror and pandemonium that is inflicted on students during school shootings—in this case, one that prosecutors say was clearly premeditated and some feel could have been prevented.

On Twitter, people were deeply disturbed by the video.

The suspect in the shooting was arraigned yesterday on one count of terrorism causing death, four counts of first-degree murder, seven counts of assault with intent to murder and 12 counts of possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

When it comes to sensitive subjects, some people make derogatory comments instead of having a hard conversation, either to pivot the focus or to try to feel superior.

In a podcast episode from just over a week ago, "Mamdani's Talent Knows No Limitations," Meghan McCain openly praised New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani and said plainly that Republicans "would be in trouble" and "should be scared" if the possibility were to ever arise for him to be able to run for President.
