Geoffrey Owens hasn't been able to get out of the headlines since he was job-shamed for working at Trader Joe's. But since then, Owens has been met with an outpouring of support.

Since he was outed for working at the grocery store chain, fans have rallied behind Owens assuring him that he's simply a hustler and schooling critics on what it's like to be in the entertainment industry.

Support has also come from fellow celebrities. One of the most notable gestures was from producer Tyler Perry.

Perry tweeted at Owens to not only offer his support, but to offer him a job.

And according to TMZ, Geoffrey Owens is now the newest cast member of Perry's The Haves and the Have Nots. He will appear in 10 episodes of the show.

But that's not all. Nicki Minaj recently spoke about the actor on her radio show, Queen Radio. During her show, she said,

"That man is now getting so many opportunities. I personally want to donate on behalf of Queen Radio $25,000 to Geoffrey Owens. You know why? Imma tell you something. This man is a whole f**king legend in these streets."

That's right, the rap goddess has decided to offer Owens 25 grand.

She talked to Entertainment Tonight to further explain her reasoning.

"Some people are on the internet and seeking attention, and he's just the antithesis of that. So I felt like, 'Oh my God, could you imagine?' We all have done jobs like that and I just thought, what if that were me? Or a family member and they were minding their own business, working to feed their family and somebody tried to humiliate them? I don't like the way that feels."

She continued, saying,

"Tell him that I'm going to have my team contact him because I hope he doesn't take it the wrong way. I just want to help him in any way I can."

Many fans are inspired by her generosity.

But others feel as though the gift isn't the right way to lend her support.

What do you think? Were Nicki's intentions noble or insensitive?
