A Pro-Trump PAC Just Launched a Campaign to Draft Their Dream Candidate to Run Against Trump in 2020, and We Can't Look Away

With friends like these...

An anti-immigration political action committee is urging conservative author Ann Coulter to mount a primary challenge to President Donald Trump, The Washington Times reported on Thursday.

Yeah, evidently this is a thing now.

In a press release on its website, the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC wrote that Trump "is now much more likely to lose in 2020" over "immigration promises" the president allegedly broke.

"Whereas Donald Trump has broken or not fulfilled at least ten of his major immigration issue promises to American populist voters," the statement read, "millions of Trump's base voters, donors, and volunteers like ALIPAC's President William Gheen will no longer cast a ballot for him."

Gheen encouraged Coulter to run against Trump in 2020 because of the president's failure to secure funding for a border wall. Gheen is also particularly upset with the three-year extension granted to DACA, allowing children of undocumented immigrants to remain in the United States without fear of deportation.

Gheen laid blame on Trump's more liberal advisors like Jared Kushner, whom Gheen believes "shares no positions in support of MAGA promises," for promoting "amnesty" and ruining Trump's chances for reelection.

"There are millions of Trump voters like me who will never vote for him again because we believe America can only be saved and secured by honest men and women who treasure the truth and keep their campaign promises," said Gheen. "I hope Ann Coulter will give serious consideration to running against Trump in the primary and run on a MAGA platform offering conservative voters a pledge to keep her promises.... unlike Trump!"

For her part, Coulter has echoed similar sentiments regarding Trump's follow through on his immigration promises. She was particularly critical of him granting temporary amnesty for immigrants under Daca.

According to ALIPAC's statement, Gheen thinks a primary challenge from Coulter would pull Trump and his "left-wing advisors" further to the right and "abandon their plans to create millions of new Democrat voters through Amnesty legislation for Democrats, Republican employers, and illegal aliens."

In reality, polls show support for Trump eroding as his third government shutdown, the longest in American history, continues through its 34th day.

Coulter for president? Really? The right is really running out of options.

People certainly have feelings about this.

No doubt it would be amazing, albeit terrifying, television.

Twitter reactions were merciless.

I mean:

Oof.

Joking aside, if Coulter were to run, she would face a steep uphill climb. Republicans in some states have reportedly discussed canceling the 2020 primaries to ensure Trump remains the party's nominee.

Earlier this month, members of the Republican National Committee and grassroots organizations also mused at blocking potential primary challenges to Trump.

Coulter has written two pro-Trump books: In Trump We Trust and Resistance is Futile.

AOC Saves The Day By Giving Bronx Middle School Group A Tour Of The Capitol Amid Shutdown

New York Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had people cheering after she stepped in to act as tour guide after a group of middle schoolers from the Bronx pulled up to the Capitol hours after the U.S. government officially shut down.

The federal government shut down early Wednesday after the White House and Congress failed to reach an agreement on federal spending. While Senate Democrats are in the minority, they hold enough seats to filibuster and are insisting that Republicans agree to extend federal subsidies for people insured under the Affordable Care Act.

GOP Lawmaker Sparks Outrage After Calling For Dem Rep. To Be Executed For Urging People To Protest Trump

On Wednesday, September 25, an Arizona MAGA Republican state Representative publicly called for the execution of Washington Democratic Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal because she urged anyone displeased with MAGA Republican President Donald Trump's job performance to exercise their First Amendment right to free speech and to protest.

Apparently, urging citizens to make their voices heard was a step too far for Arizona state GOP Representative John Gillette, who responded to a clip edited out of a longer video by right-wing account The Patriot Oasis (TPO). A quick scan through Gillette's X account media posts will reveal his political leanings.

Liberal TikToker Mortified After Discovering That Her Therapist Is Hardcore MAGA

There used to be a time where politics did not have to come into every room or be a part of every conversation. But in a world with President Trump and MAGA, it's not as simple as being Red, Blue, or Green anymore.

Now, the sociopolitical climate is dangerous for many people and still very stress-inducing for others. It's important to surround ourselves with people who make us feel safe and seen—and unfortunately, that might mean cutting out people who have "different beliefs" than we do.
