The actor called out the Oscars on Instagram for not nominating 'Barbie' star Margot Robbie or director Greta Gerwig by recreating a scene from the box office hit with his wife, Caitlin McHugh.

The internet has been raging over Oscar snubs for Margot Robbie and Greta Gerwig, and John Stamos is the latest to share his reaction.

Stamos took to Instagram to express his disappointment that Robbie and Gerwig were not nominated for Best Actress and Best Director, respectively, by recreating a scene from their Barbie movie.

Though the actor's scene recreation is quite hilarious, his caption delivered a more serious message.

He wrote:

"This one goes out to Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie who crafted a film that was both a critical success and a cultural phenomenon, delving into feminist themes through the lens of Barbie and challenging patriarchal norms."
"This movie not only resonated deeply, but also grossed OVER a billion dollars."
"Yet, in a twist of irony, both women were snubbed by the Academy. Everyone go re-watch Barbie tonight."

Though Robbie and Gerwig weren't nominated in their categories, the film did see other nominations, including Best Picture.

America Ferrera and Ryan Gosling were both nominated for their supporting roles, and the film received a nomination in the adapted screenplay category and two for original songs. Other nominations included those for costume and production design.

Though obviously excited about their own nominations, Ferrera and Gosling both spoke out about their disappointment over the snubs.

Ferrera told Variety:

“I was incredibly disappointed that they weren’t nominated. Greta has done just about everything that a director could do to deserve it."
"What Margot achieved as an actress is truly unbelievable. One of the things about Margot as an actress is how easy she makes everything look.”

In a statement shared with PEOPLE, Ryan Gosling echoed Ferrera's dismay.

"There is no Ken without Barbie, and there is no 'Barbie' movie without Greta Gerwig and Margot Robbie, the two people most responsible for this history-making, globally-celebrated film."
"No recognition would be possible for anyone on the film without their talent, grit and genius."
