Dua Lipa concertgoers were not expecting an anti-LGBTQ+ pre-show when a preacher started yelling at them outside the venue on April 18.

In footage shared on TikTok, the preacher was heard telling fans of the English singer/songwriter that "homosexuality and lesbianism is a sin."

He didn't get the response he was hoping for when he asked the crowd that was lined up outside Leeds’ First Direct Arena if they "celebrated sin."

The gathered fans affirmatively cheered.

And when the preacher next asked, “How many of you think it’s good to dance like a whore?” they cheered louder.

He wasn't finished with his verbal questionnaire.

He continued:

"How many think that it’s good to have sex outside of marriage? How many of you think it’s OK to dress in provocative clothing?”

Each inquiry was met with jubilant cheers from the rousing crowd.

Disappointed by the celebratory reactions, the preacher declared:

"We’re in serious trouble with God. You’re in serious trouble with God. You call evil good and good evil.”

People were amused by his failed attempt at shaming the crowd.

Dua Lipa is a huge LGBTQ+ ally who stood up for the community by condemning rapper DaBaby for his homophobic comments during his Rolling Loud Festival.

“I really don’t recognize this as the person I worked with," she said of her former collaborator with whom she worked on the remix of her song “Levitating.”

"I know my fans know where my heart lies and that I stand 100% with the LGBTQ community."
"We need to come together to fight the stigma and ignorance around HIV/AIDS.”

The 26-year-old pop icon kicked off her Future Nostalgia tour on February 9, 2022, in Miami.

While the pandemic may have postponed the start of her tour, no preacher can stop the show.

However, he can certainly warm up the crowd for good measure.
