Halle Berry Bluntly Reacts To Angry Troll Who Thought She Was Playing Ariel In 'The Little Mermaid'

Halle Berry Bluntly Reacts To Angry Troll Who Thought She Was Playing Ariel In 'The Little Mermaid'

As online discussions happen around the new live-action Little Mermaid film, several fans have made the mistake of mixing up the actor who plays Ariel, Halle Bailey, with 56-year-old actor Halle Berry. This would be merely amusing if fans hadn't had the audacity to tweet their opinions of the film at Berry instead of Bailey.

One of the tweets caught Berry's attention. The now-deleted tweet read, "Halle Berry is nearly 60 playing the role of a 16-year-old girl. This is what happens when you upset a fandom."

Berry had a perfect response, proving an image is worth a thousand words.

The reactions were gleeful.

Many people were waiting for the original poster to take down the tweet, commenting on how they should take the shade and quietly fold.

People saved screenshots of the original tweet, as it would inevitably be taken down.

When Halle Berry's social media game is so good that she doesn't even need words to make her point, one should just leave the stage.

Someone pointed out that maybe, if you wanted, it would be a compliment to be mistaken for an actor 30 years younger than you? Maybe?

This isn't the first time this has happened since the beginning of the younger actor's career, and Halle Berry seems to be a good sport about it.

Google is free! If you're going to be outraged online, at least check that you're doing so about the right person.

A leading rule, however, should be: If you break something that belongs to your roommate, you should replace it.
