QAnon Rep. Melts Down After Someone Vandalizes Her Anti-Trans Sign: 'This Is Criminal Activity!'

QAnon Rep. Melts Down After Someone Vandalizes Her Anti-Trans Sign: 'This Is Criminal Activity!'

Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Georgia Republican, melted down after someone vandalized an anti-transgender sign she displays outside her office, referring to the culprits as "crazy and deranged."

The sign, which reads, "There are TWO genders: MALE & FEMALE ...Trust The Science!" was defaced by someone who had written "Free Palestine" and added "not" between "are" and "two genders."

Greene, in a video posted to Telegram, claimed that the vandalism backs her belief that there are "criminals roaming the halls of Congress," adding that the sign has been vandalized at least six times.

You can hear what she said in the video below.

Greene said:

"I want you to know about the criminals who actually work in these office buildings, because I've been having to deal with them now for months and months." ...
“This is criminal activity! It’s vandalism, destruction of property, so when the person gets caught they’re going to be held accountable. But here’s the scary thing — they work in our building!”

She went on to accuse Democrats of vandalizing the sign, though she had no evidence to support that claim:

"This sign is such a trigger factor for Democrats and apparently people who actually work in my office building --- that they started vandalizing this sign, and then they stole the sign, so I've gone through six signs since early last year."

Greene claimed that on one occasion, someone vandalized the sign by writing "Masks for thee and not for me," a nod to Greene's long history of pushing COVID-19 conspiracy theories and refusal to abide by common-sense public health measures. Greene explained that she has been fined more than $100,000 for repeatedly violating the mask mandate in the House of Representatives.

She even suggested that she felt her Christian faith had been attacked, recalling that a vandal had written a Bible verse on one of her signs. And in the latest incident, the vandal had attached a note admonishing Greene, writing that "True disciples of Christ don't say the things you say, act the way you act, and treat people the way you treat people."

The incidents, Greene said, have made her feel unsafe, so much so that she has asked the United States Capitol Police as well as the House Sergeant at Arms to install security cameras outside her office "so that I can feel safe."

Greene said that she's made the request several times but was told the threats against her have not met the threshold to require additional security, for which she blamed, without presenting evidence, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Greene concluded by branding the culprits "losers" before railing against her fellow members of Congress:

"Anyways, I just wanted to give y'all a little heads up on what actually happens in Washington — and it's loserville, loserville in Washington. Absolute most pathetic place I've ever been in my life. Completely disgusts me."
"It's totally dysfunctional. The Democrats are destroying our county, and then there's idiots that have to run around and vandalize signs because they're so triggered by the fact that there are only two genders."

Many have mocked Greene for her remarks.

Greene made headlines earlier this year after she raised the anti-trans flag outside her office, which happens to sit directly across from the office of Representative Marie Newman, an Illinois Democrat. Earlier, Newman had raised a trans flag to support her transgender daughter following a contentious debate about the Equality Act, which Greene opposed.

Greene's behavior drew bipartisan criticism, including from Republicans who'd earlier voted to strip her of her committee assignments after she made anti-Semitic remarks and promoted violence against Democrats.

But Greene isn't the only member of Congress to engage in attacks against transgender people. Her ally Lauren Boebert, with whom she shares a belief in QAnon and associated conspiracy theories, has repeatedly made headlines for a history of homophobia and demonizing the LGBTQ+ community.

In August 2021, to cite just one example, Boebert was criticized after she amplified a transphobic tweet alleging that transgender Olympian Laurel Hubbard transitioned just so she could win a medal.

Boebert alleged that athletes like Hubbard have an unfair advantage due to the biological advantages of going through puberty as a male. However, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) found that Hubbard met all the requirements for transgender athletes to compete.

We Just Got Our First Look At The Official Popcorn Bucket For 'The Odyssey'—And Everyone Is Making The Same Joke

At this point, movie studios aren't competing at the box office. They're competing to see who can create the most unhinged popcorn bucket.

We've had giant sandworms. We've had oversized Deadpool & Wolverine helmets. We've had designer handbags full of popcorn. We even somehow survived the predictably lackluster Melania Trump popcorn bucket era. Now, The Odyssey has entered the chat with a Trojan Horse popcorn bucket, because apparently subtlety died somewhere around 2024.

'X-Men' Star Has Important Wakeup Call For Men After Revealing He's Been Diagnosed With 'Super Rare' Breast Cancer

Breast cancer does not discriminate between people. While it is more common in women, one out of 755 men will also be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.

Because "breasts" are associated with women, people—including doctors—often do not recognize early signs of breast cancer in men, so they are less likely to be diagnosed until a later stage, which makes treatment more difficult.
