It's been weeks since President-elect Joe Biden defeated outgoing President Donald Trump in the 2020 election with 306 electoral votes—well over the 270 required to take the White House.
Trump has still refused to accept this reality, instead firing off lie-ridden tweets to his 88 million followers about widespread election fraud he falsely claims tipped the race to Biden.
Meanwhile, the Trump campaign's legal team is pursuing lawsuits decrying supposed voting irregularities and pressuring Republican state legislatures to appoint Trump-loyal electors. They've lost 39 of these lawsuits so far.
Last month, amid the President's continued refusal to accept reality, Trump-supporting radio host Geraldo Rivera assured that he'd spoken with Trump, whom he called a "realist" on the phone and surmised that Trump would do the "right thing."
But now, even Rivera is getting weary of Trump's efforts to subvert the will of the people.
In an appearance on the conservative Fox News network, Rivera emphasized the importance of the two runoff Senate elections in Georgia, which will determine whether or not Republicans maintain control of the Senate.

Though Georgia has already certified its presidential election results, Trump has continued to rail against its Republican governor and secretary of state, lying they allowed Democrats to get away with election malpractice.
As a result, a growing number of Trump supporters are calling on Georgia's Republican voters to stay home or write in Trump's name in the Senate runoff races, citing a lack of faith in the sanctity of Georgia's election process.
Rivera noted that the President's continued refusal to acknowledge his loss in Georgia and in the United States is only exacerbating what could be a damning development in GOP efforts to maintain Senate control.
He said:
"I think that the president is on the wrong course here. I think he's gotta take a real gut check between now and Saturday, with all due respect, and, you know, I love the guy, but enough is enough now."
But Rivera's calls for Trump to change course aren't earning him any credit with either the President's critics or his supporters.
Critics of the Trump administration called out his years-long enablement of Trump.
Now? What just happened for Geraldo to finally decide enough was enough?

😂😂😂
Geraldo Rivera himself has been doing the exact same thing, sowing election result doubts. Claiming fraud. Encouraging Trump to keep up his fight. Now he wants to pretend he's the reasonable one???? That's funny!

Even Rivera has a limit to Trump's dangerous lying.
Unfortunately, Rivera lost his credibility a long time ago. https://t.co/Kh0fAKpPxz

The President's supporters didn't take kindly to Geraldo's words either.
Sounds like @GeraldoRivera is a fair weather friend. Don't worry Geraldo, there's millions of us that will continue to fight with our President for a fair election.

Whether or not Trump does the "right thing," President-elect Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be inaugurated on January 20th.
