Chuck Woolery Faces Criticism After Saying Racism Has 'Nothing To Do With Race'

Former Love Connection host Chuck Woolery has ignited controversy once again by claiming that "racism has nothing to do with race."

Woolery, who has transitioned from game show host to conservative political podcaster in recent years, tweeted the rant Monday morning, saying:

"RACISM HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE."
"Racism is the Progressive Left crying out for attention."
"If you disagree with the ProgressiveLeft. They consider you a Racist."
"They are desperate to hold on to the Black Vote."

Sadly, it isn't the first time Woolery has courted controversy when it comes to racism and the GOP.

In 2017, he faced backlash after claiming that Republicans had never done anything "nasty" to black people.

But to absurdly claim that racism has nothing to do with race seems like a bit of a stretch, considering the root of the word "racism" is literally "race."

And it also seems, well, extremely privileged at best, and fairly racist at worst.

Even tennis legend Martina Navratilova laid into Woolery for his ignorance.

As people poked holes in Woolery's theory, he was too stubborn to back down.

Not a good look, Chuck.

But at least we got this gem out of it:

Idaho Bar Ripped After Organizing 'Hetero Awesome Fest' During Pride Month

An Idaho bar is drawing criticism after announcing it will be hosting a "Hetero Awesome Festival" (is that really the BEST name you could come up with? Maybe workshop it a bit more...) in response to LGBTQ+ Pride Month.

The grown adults who run Old State Saloon in the Boise suburb of Eagle are convinced that "traditional family values" are under assault because of Pride, so they will be holding their event on June 20 and 21 outside Idaho's state Capitol, to coincide with Pride celebrations.
