People Are Calling Trump's Bluff After He Says He'll 'Strongly Consider' Testifying In Impeachment Probe

With Team Trump complaining about not getting to "have their day in court" for the impeachment inquiry, despite it not being a trial or a court, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi offered the President the opportunity to testify.

And President Donald Trump said he would "strongly consider" it.

What could go wrong?

In his usual manner of presidential communication, Trump posted an insult laden rant on Twitter to announce his response to Pelosi's invitation to testify.

Trump tweeted:

"Our Crazy, Do Nothing (where's USMCA, infrastructure, lower drug pricing & much more?) Speaker of the House, Nervous Nancy Pelosi, who is petrified by her Radical Left knowing she will soon be gone (they & Fake News Media are her BOSS), suggested on Sunday's DEFACE THE NATION that I testify about the phony Impeachment Witch Hunt."
"She also said I could do it in writing. Even though I did nothing wrong, and don't like giving credibility to this No Due Process Hoax, I like the idea & will, in order to get Congress focused again, strongly consider it!"

Twitter user Jeff Tiedrich offered to translate.

"let's un-Fox this tweet:"
"1. the House has passed over 350 bills 2019 including all legislation cited above by our day-glow orange president. Mitch McConnell has allowed exactly 0 of them to be brought to a vote in the Senate"
"2. there is no 'due process' in an impeachment inquiry"

Others reflected on things Trump also claimed he'd consider.

Others called Trump's bluff and urged him to testify under oath...

...or had other suggestions for the best use of his time.

The impeachment inquiry continues. No official word on whether President Trump will testify.
