Brian Szasz, stepson of British billionaire Hamish Harding, weirded out social media with his constant posts about attending a Blink-182 concert as his stepdad remains missing—and was even called out by Cardi B.

The news of the missing submersible that was en route to view the Titanic wreckage took the internet by storm yesterday.

It didn't take long, though, for the stepson of one of the passengers aboard the sub—billionaire Hamish Harding—to make headlines of his own.

In the midst of his stepfather's disappearance, Brian Szasz was called out on social media for attending a Blink-182 concert... and posting about it on Facebook.

He has since deleted his account or made it private, but some of his publicly expressed thoughts were captured, nonetheless.

Szasz did first share BBC's article on the missing vessel, adding:

"My stepdad Hamish Harding is on this Submarine thoughts and prayers."

But the post that caught the attention of many was the one which explained his reasoning for attending the concert:

"It might be distasteful being here but my family would want me to be at the Blink-182 show as it's my favorite band and music helps me in difficult times! 🖤🙏"

Szasz took it a step further and reached out to the band and its members on Twitter.

"@blink182 ⁦@tomdelonge⁩ ⁦@travisbarker⁩ @markhoppis My stepdad Hamish is on this submarine lost at sea. I’m devastated but coming to the San Diego show tonight so you guys can give me hope and cheer me up.🖤🙏"

In another he shared:

"@tomdelonge my stepdad is missing in the sub at the titanic site. I’m here at the San Diego show for support thanks.🖤🙏"

And then:

"@tomdelonge Tom I’m back at the Blink show tonight to comfort me in this time of tragedy in the fam. Thanks for the love!🖤🙏"

Szasz also posted videos from the concert to Twitter and hit on an OnlyFans model before deleting his account.

People on the platform were a bit perplexed.

Many questioned his motive.

Even Cardi B called out the stepson, inciting a bit of an online war.

In her video, the singer responded to Szasz by letting him know that, yes, he should be at home sad instead of at a concert.

Szasz responded through his Instagram stories.

He claimed he had several reasons to justify his concert attendance, including not having money and not being able to legally go to the site. However no one asked for him to go to the site, most called out his repeated messages to Blink 182 using his stepfather's disappearance to get a response.

He also said some unkind things about Cardi B.

Szasz also tweeted at Cardi B.

A few on social media agreed with his position.

But most shared the same sentiment as Cardi B as Szasz appeared to be trying to cash in on his stepfather's accident.

It was reported Thursday afternoon that the submersible Titan suffered a "catastrophic implosion" likely killing all on board almost instantly.

Trump Slammed After Ranting That The Smithsonian Only Focuses On 'How Bad Slavery Was'

President Donald Trump was called out after he doubled down on his criticism of the Smithsonian museums in a rambling post on Truth Social on Tuesday, saying they've focused too much on "how bad slavery was" instead of promoting his view of American excellence.

A White House official who spoke to NBC News said Trump's call for a comprehensive review would extended to all museums, pledging that Trump will hold the Smithsonian "accountable" and "then go from there."

Texas Republicans Lock Dem State Rep. In Capitol After She Refuses To Leave With Mandatory Police Escort

Democratic Texas state Representative Nicole Collier is making national headlines for refusing to cede to Republicans' demands that she sign a permission slip to be under escort by the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Collier was among dozens of Democrats who bolted from Texas earlier this month to block a Trump-backed redistricting plan designed to tilt the 2026 midterms toward Republicans. Some lawmakers returned Monday for a second special session, but GOP House Speaker Dustin Burrows ordered state troopers to escort them out of the chamber to stop another walkout.
