Long before Jack and Rebecca Pearson, there was Landon and Jamie Sullivan. We all know the first couple, portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore from This Is Us.

But some will have to take a walk down memory lane to recall who the latter couple was.

Landon Carter was the ne'er-do-well, and Jamie Sullivan was the local minister's daughter from Nicholas Sparks's novel, A Walk to Remember that was later adapted for a movie.

In the 2002 film, Landon, played by Shane West, chose to do the school play as an alternative to getting expelled and met Jamie Sullivan, the local minister's daughter.

As fate would have it, the two fall in love but a terminal illness interferes with their lives and forces them to make a life-changing decision in this coming-of-age drama.

Everyone loved Landon and Jamie, and fans have missed seeing the two actors share the screen together ever since.

Cut to 2019, and West surprised Moore as she was honored with her star during her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony.

West, 40, said the two of them couldn't be more different at the beginning of their enduring friendship.

"We couldn't have been more opposite when we met. I was busy wearing ill-advised clothes and having dubious hair choices and wearing eyeliner in my garage punk band or whatever, whatever that was."

He praised his costar with much praise.

"And you were killing it on the pop star scene. You had very long beautiful blonde hair at the time."

Fans of A Walk to Remember are feeling all the feels over the reunion.

Why are my eyes sweating?

The Gotham actor recalled a moment from the set involving their Walk director – most recently known for being on the judge panel for So You Think You Can Dance – Adam Shankman.

"I was trying to get you to listen to The Clash or the Ramones. You were not interested but you were very sweet about it, and you stuck to your Fleetwood Mac. Always Fleetwood Mac."
"And so apparently our director for A Walk to Remember, Adam Shankman, decided, 'Hey, yeah, why not let's put these two together, let's put the two opposites attract together.' And I'm glad he did."

Shane continued:

"Not only was this film a wonderful experience in every way, but it also gave me the chanced to fall for this fantastic woman."

He turned to his costar and piled on the praises.

"Mandy, you are an absolute gem. Your smile is ridiculous, seriously it's ridiculous, it lights up a room when you walk in. Your energy is irresistible and your heart is second to none."

You can't ask for a better friend.

"I always knew you were incredibly talented and I always knew you would go on to do big things, and amazing things and you have. Here you are about to be immortalized on Hollywood Boulevard. I couldn't be more proud of you, I couldn't be more happy for you. Love ya."

PEOPLE mentioned how West stood by her when she publicly opened up about alleged harassment and emotional abuse from her ex-husband, musician Ryan Adams.

"Warmest hug EVER to the strongest woman I know," West wrote.

What a gentleman.

Maybe someday they'll team up for another project together soon.

Congratulations on your star, Mandy!

Donald Trump Jr. was criticized after he told Fox News what criteria he has for his father's Cabinet picks—revealing that in a second Trump administration, loyalty is the name of the game.

That's very on brand for Donald Trump, whose own vice president-elect, J.D. Vance, has previously shared information about the Trump campaign's vetting processes—which includes asking people, with no sense of irony, if they've committed crimes.
