Hillary Clinton Just Perfectly Trolled Donald Trump With a Savage 5 Word Reminder That She Warned Us Trump Was a 'Puppet' of Putin in 2016

She warned us.

Hillary Clinton took a major swipe at President Donald Trump on Twitter Monday morning by reminding the world that during a debate with the now-President in the throes of the 2016 presidential campaign, she warned that Trump was a "puppet" of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During their third debate in October 2016, Clinton and Trump sparred over Trump's suspected subservience to Putin.

"Putin from everything I see has no respect for this person," Trump growled. Clinton replied, "that's because he'd rather have a puppet as president."

Trump insisted, "puppet, no puppet, you're the puppet."

Clinton, prophetically:

"The Russians have engaged in cyber attacks against the United States of America that you encouraged; that you encouraged espionage against our people; that you are willing to spout the Putin line, sign up for his wishlist, break up NATO... and that you continue to get help from him because he has a very clear favorite in this race."

Hindsight is 20/20. We were warned.

"Like I said: A puppet," she tweeted.

The nearly 66 million Americans who listened are all for her right now.

By this point in the campaign, both candidates were receiving daily security briefings.

And the Trump-Russia connection had already made headlines.

But, ya know, Clinton was a "flawed" candidate.

Lest we forget:

Below is a clip from the same debate in which Clinton lays out precisely what we have come to learn since Trump was elected.

"We've never had a foreign government trying to interfere in our election," Clinton said. "We have 17 intelligence agencies - civilian and military - all concluded that these espionage/cyber attacks come from the highest levels of the Kremlin and they are designed to influence our election. I find that deeply disturbing."

Trump, whose denial holds to this day, said Clinton had "no idea whether it's Russia, China, or anybody else. She has no idea. Our country has no idea. I doubt it, I doubt it."

But her emails.
