White House Chief of Staff John Kelly Won't Read Trump Tweets

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly Won't Read Trump Tweets

Not learning from Trump's own bogus claim that he's too busy being president to watch news television, White House chief of staff John Kelly dug himself a continent-size crater when he said recently that he doesn't ever follow, i.e. read, President Donald Trump's tweets. As if we would believe such a statement...

What is worse, Kelly claims that NONE of the staff are allowed to read the president's tweets.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Kelly spoke to reporters in Vietnam while traveling with the president. He fielded a question about the president's twitter-obsessed thumbs - maybe it was about when Donald threw a twitter-temper-tantrum over the North Korea's Kim Jon-Un calling him old.

"Someone, I read the other day, said we all just react to the tweets," Kelly said. "We don’t. I don’t. I don’t allow the staff to. We know what we’re doing," he continued. "Believe it or not, I do not follow the tweets.”

No one believes him, as America collectively rolls their eyes and calls bull.

Bev Plummer thinks, as do many of us, that it is kind of Kelly's job to be reading the president's tweets: "Your president communicates to the world through his tweets and it is disastrous. Do your job and monitor them."

Did someone order a bridge?

Kelly did however follow-up his statement, saying that he finds out eventually about the tweets. But if his staff isn't allowed to read the tweets, then who is he getting his intel from?

The people want to know.

"But for our purposes, my purpose, is we make sure the president is briefed up on what he’s about to do," he said.

Wait, he's saying the president is told what to tweet? Kelly is going to need a really big bridge to make sense of all this.

An alternative fact explanation.

Alice Ferguson: "That's because after throwing up for a month after reading them, he has someone read them to him at happy hour when he is six sheets to the wind. He probably laughs his drunk ass off at what an idiot his boss is too...just sayin."

Sadly, no one believes Kelly.

"We are to believe that a military man intentionally ignores info from his commander relevant to his own duties? Uh-huh."

Kimberly Saldana: "Hmmm, pretty sure @realDonaldTrump @POTUS said his tweets were the new way for a president to communicate his thoughts directly to the people. Maybe Kelly and the rest of the goons in this administration should take his crazy tweets seriously."

Do your job, Kelly.

Sherri: "The @WhiteHouse has stated that the @POTUS tweets are official communications. Kelly stating he does not pay attention to them is admitting to dereliction of duty."
