One of Britain's "first openly gay dads"—one half of a my-two-dads couple—has now found love again...with his daughter's ex-boyfriend.

Barrie Drewitt-Barlow confirmed his engagement to Scott Hutchinson via Instagram.

Barrie met Scott Hutchinson when Hutchinson was dating his 20-year-old daughter, Saffron.

Hutchinson also declared his love in return for Barrie via Instagram.

"You know what," wrote Hutchinson, "After reading everything I read in the papers or what I hear! Nothing will ever change!"

"I'll love this man til the day I die ! He's changed me in so many ways and turned me into someone know one will ever understand!"

The UK is familiar with the Drewitt-Barlows after their landmark case in LGBTQ+ rights.

Tony, Barrie's ex, and Barrie were the first gay fathers both listed on the birth certificate as legal parents of their children, Saffron and Aspen, whom they welcomed via surrogate.

In May, Barrie and Scott Hutchinson announced that they were reportedly expecting triplets via a surrogate.

But that news changed recently, and the couple are now expecting only one child.

The couple have not received any resistance from their daughter, despite having dated Hutchinson herself.

"Scott is one of my best mates and I am happy that he and daddy can finally feel comfortable enough to talk about their relationship," she posted on Instagram, according to 7 News Australia.

The entire family lives together in Barrie's house in Florida, including Tony Drewitt-Barlow, Barrie's ex, and Hutchinson.

Many happy returns to this close family.
