Ex-Cop Arrested After Posing As A High Schooler In Desperate Bid To Get More Instagram Followers

In the age of social media, spectacle is king. If you want to inflate your social media presence, you either spend your time slowly building a loyal fanbase who enjoy what you post, or you go crazy viral in some video or stunt.

Audrey Nicole Francisquini, a 28-year-old woman and former police officer, was arrested after she pretended to be a student at American Senior High School in Hialeah, Florida. She reportedly did this to increase her followers on Instagram.

She reportedly snuck her way onto the campus by dressing like students and carrying a skateboard and a painting.

The internet thought it was creepy.

Francisquini started handing out fliers for her Instagram page after making her way onto the high school campus.

She was stopped by security twice. The first time, she claimed she was looking for the registration office and was pointed in that direction. The second time, she ran from the officers and was flagged as a "potential threat."

The Miami-Dade Police arrested her later that day thanks to the fliers with a link to her Instagram account.

Francisquini used to be a police officer in DeKalb County, Georgia. She was fired after logging into another female officer's social media account to post nude photos of the colleague.

Her affinity for social media and crime continued at the time of her arrest, as she posted an Instagram story while police surrounded her home.

She said:

"I legit have I don't know how many cops outside right now of my house. I'm not going outside at all."

The whole incident reads like a bad joke.

Probably the greatest joke is that due to the bad press and pending court case, Francisquini's Instagram account is set to private.

The exact opposite thing she wanted at the start of this.

As of writing, Francisquini has been released from jail, with no plea entered just yet.

The former police officer was working at Carnival Cruise Lines as a salesperson. Carnival told WSVN that they are looking into the matter and will take action if necessary.

It seems like Florida isn't the best place for students as grown adults continue to be creepy. Earlier this year, a gym teacher made news after being fired for making racist remarks to his football team and sexting students.

Dept. Of Energy Roasted After Posting Bonkers Light Switch Meme To Praise Trump

The official X account posted the meme without a caption or a comment of any kind—just one of many posts in recent days lauding the Trump administration and particularly Secretary Chris Wright for ensuring that "energy equals freedom" and that the U.S. has entered a "golden age of liquid gold."
