Ed the zebra went viral after he escaped from his Tennessee owner for a week before being caught and airlifted back home.

Christiana, Tennessee, just south of Nashville, made headlines in a big way in the past week when one a farmer's three zebras escaped and ran free.

Ed the Zebra was caught on a variety of door cams as he ambled comfortably through the suburbs, only to pick up speed when he entered the nearby fields.

One videographer created a hilarious compilation of the zebra's explorations while he was free of the farm.

You can watch the video here:

Multiple attempts were made to capture the escaped zebra, but it took over a week for a successful attempt. Ed's escapades included wandering through the suburbs, along Interstate 24, which led to part of the interstate having to be closed off for safety purposes, and the surrounding farmland.

Finally, after exploring the suburbs and neigh-boring fields of Tennessee for a week, Ed the Zebra was captured and transported by airlift back to his home, where his owner's other two zebras were surely waiting for him.

Though Ed had just arrived at his new home in Christiana alongside two zebra friends, it seems he was much more eager to explore the surrounding area and what his new community had to offer.

He appears incredibly healthy and well cared for in his current living arrangements, but that doesn't mean he might not like to go out, stretch his legs, and see the world a little bit, too!

Fortunately, Ed the Zebra was returned safely home with nothing more than some fun new memes on the internet, hilarious camera footage for days, and a story that his buddies will not believe for a second.

Dem Senator Speaks Out After He Was Thrown To Ground And Handcuffed For Questioning Kristi Noem At LA Press Conference

California Democratic Senator Alex Padilla spoke out after disturbing footage showed him getting dragged out of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's press conference in Los Angeles yesterday for trying to ask a question—only for law enforcement to shove him to the ground and handcuff him.

Padilla introduced himself and merely said he had "questions for the secretary" at Noem's press conference addressing President Donald Trump's deployment of members of the National Guard, and later the Marines, in response to protests in Los Angeles against the Trump administration's immigration raids.

Vance Tried To Make A Joke About Seeing 'Les Misérables' At The Kennedy Center—And It's Peak Cringe

Vice President JD Vance had people groaning after he made a bad joke about the production of Les Misérables he and his wife, Second Lady Usha Vance, attended at the Kennedy Center with President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump.

The musical, set in 19th century France, tells the story of Jean Valjean, an ex-convict who is released from prison for stealing a loaf of bread. The story touches on timeless themes such as justice and mercy—and also happens to be about people resisting an authoritarian takeover, which many find ironic given the Trump administration's response to protests in Los Angeles.

People Who Smashed Wedding Cake In Their Spouse's Face Reveal How Their Relationship Is Going Now

According to The Knot wedding resource magazine and website, smashing cake into the face of a spouse after tying the knot is a tradition tied to medieval England. To celebrate the marriage, the bride would toss a piece of piece of cake over her shoulder for good luck.

This evolved into newlyweds feeding a piece of cake to one another, then taking frosting or a small bit of cake and rubbing it gently onto each other's faces—usually the cheek or tip of the nose.
