Singer Doja Cat had some choice words for music fans who compared her natural hair texture to "sheep's wool" and, even worse, "pubic hair."
The comments came after Doja released the cover art for her upcoming single, "Masc," which features a close-up of the back of her head.
In the image, the singer sports her bleach-blond natural hair, which has a tight curl pattern known as type 4C that Black people are frequently criticized for. And many music fans had nothing but nasty things to say.
Doja Cat responds to comments about her hair on IG live:

“My hair is 4C hair, which a lot of you don’t care, that’s fine, but i’m noticing a consistent pattern of people in my comment section comparing it to sheep, pubic hair […] comparing 4C hair to… ugh, pubic hair? really?”— (@)
In response, Doja Cat took to Instagram Live to call out people who made negative comments and tell them to knock it off with the insults.
Doja Cat told fans:
“My hair is 4C hair, which a lot of you don’t care, that’s fine, but I’m noticing a consistent pattern of people in my comment section comparing it to sheep, pubic hair […] comparing 4C hair to… ugh, pubic hair? Really?”
She went on to tell critics to stop comparing her hair to "sheep and pubes and carpet and popcorn and sh*t like that," before calling on people to do better.
"We got to move forward. Let’s move forward. Let’s grow."
"I can’t tell you what to do. I’m not your fu*king parents. I don’t want to say too much.”
Doja Cat understandably shut comments off on her Instagram post, but fans quickly took to Twitter to offer words of support.
