WATCH: Hartford Student Explains How Roommate Poisoned Her

University of Hartford student Brianna Brochu was arrested over the weekend, and later expelled, on multiple charges after she was caught bragging on Instagram about some of the disturbing things she had done to her roommate, Chennel "Jazzy" Rowe.

The arrest followed a Facebook live video in which Rowe, a freshman, explained that she had felt ill since the beginning of the school year, starting with a sore throat she attributed to a cold. After several weeks, she could barely speak. Then, when she decided to move out of the dorm room that she shared with Brochu, two R.A.'s approached her to let her know what Brochu had just posted on Instagram.

The message read: "Finally did it yo girl got rid of her roommate!! After 1 1/2 month of spitting in her coconut oil, putting moldy clam dip in her lotions, rubbing used tampons oh [sic] her backpack, putting her toothbrush places where the sun doesn't shine, and so much more I can finally say goodbye Jamaican Barbie."

Rowe's video apparently helped law enforcement to bring stricter charges against Brochu, including third-degree criminal mischief and second-degree breach of peace, as well as a hate crime charge.

Many on Twitter were shocked by the video and Brochu's alleged behavior, as Rowe's account quickly went viral:

The hashtag #JusticeForJazzy began trending on Twitter, with many voicing their support for Rowe:

And calling out Brochu for her disgusting behavior:

After multiple calls for the University of Hartford to take action against Brochu, Hartford President Gregory S. Woodward released a statement on Tuesday that said, in part: "The incident has brought about accusations of racism, and I want you to know that I hear and share your anger and frustration. Acts of racism, bias, bullying, or other abusive behaviors will not be tolerated on this campus. I pledge to do everything in my power to work with our community to address related concerns together."

The statement also said that Brochu had been arrested by authorities and that "the University has taken all steps to pursue this matter seriously, and will continue to do so."

Brochu had her first court appearance on Wednesday and is currently out on bail.

We certainly hope that Rowe gets the justice she so rightly deserves.

Nancy Sinatra Shuts Down MAGA Fan Who Claimed Her Famous Dad Would've Voted For Trump

It's no secret that MAGA Republican President Donald Trump hasn't been able to attract the cream of the crop when it comes to the entertainment industry. While Kid Rock, Kevin Sorbo and Scott Baio are Trump ride or dies, pretty much every other Hollywood or music legend or rising star is taking a pass on Trump.

And some outright despise the man and let everyone know. Often.

Dept. Of Energy Roasted After Posting Bonkers Light Switch Meme To Praise Trump

The U.S. Department of Energy was mocked online after it shared a photo of President Donald Trump signing executive orders next to an image of a hand turning a light switch on—a bizarre meme that had people scratching their heads wondering what in the world the department was aiming for.

The official X account posted the meme without a caption or a comment of any kind—just one of many posts in recent days lauding the Trump administration and particularly Secretary Chris Wright for ensuring that "energy equals freedom" and that the U.S. has entered a "golden age of liquid gold."

Tim Walz Perfectly Explains Why Trump Running The Country 'Like A Business' Is A Bad Idea

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz criticized President Donald Trump during an interview with MSNBC host Jen Psaki, stressing just why the people who elected Trump to run the country "like a business" were completely misguided.

Walz particularly lamented the impacts of Trump's ongoing trade war with Canada and Mexico, noting that Trump has a history of scuttling deals and "a proven track record of being an absolute failure."
