Tucker Carlson Can't Seem to Believe How Much More Popular Black Lives Matter Is Than Donald Trump

Tucker Carlson Can't Seem to Believe How Much More Popular Black Lives Matter Is Than Donald Trump
Fox News

Following the murders of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor by police, the United States saw a surge of protests against the epidemic of unchecked police brutality against Black people.

American voters' support for Black Lives Matter increased almost as much in the past two weeks as it has in the past two years.

Protests still continue, and the mobilization has already begun to transform the way policing is viewed in the United States.

The Minneapolis City Council made the historic commitment to disband its police department in favor of a new, community-focused system. State leaders across the country are vowing to slash police budgets and reallocate them to community resources.

It's confounding people like far-Right Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who's dedicated the better part of his career to perpetuating the very fear and bigotry movements like Black Lives Matter fights.

Watch below.

Carlson said:

"Here's some bracing news we never expected to report. Black Lives Matter is now more popular than the President of the United States, and not slightly more popular—much more popular. A survey this week by Rasmussen, a right-leaning pollster found that 62 percent of likely voters now have a favorable opinion of Black Lives Matter. At the same time, Rasmussen found that Donald Trump's approval rating was 43 percent—That's almost 20 points lower."

He went on to point out that approval for Black Lives Matter is higher than Democratic nominee Joe Biden, both political parties, religious institutions, media, and big business.

People were mostly surprised that he was surprised.

Carlson's words came just days after sponsors withdrew their support for his show in droves due to a screed in which he insisted that Black Lives Matter wasn't about Black lives and told viewers they were out to "get" them.

People weren't sympathetic.

Thoughts and prayers.

Harris Rally Erupts In Cheers After Obama Uses Trump's Favorite Line Of Attack Against Him

A crowd of Vice President Kamala Harris's supporters erupted in cheers after former President Barack Obama expertly pointed out during a speech how former President Donald Trump's gripe that Harris had the opportunity to get things done as vice president for the past four years can also be applied to Trump himself.

Obama pointed out that Trump and his running mate J.D. Vance do not actually have answers addressing specific policy issues and instead rely on anti-immigration rhetoric to scare people into voting for them.
