A Video Parody of Trump's Suggestion to Arm Teachers With Guns Appears Online

In the wake of the mass shooting that claimed the lives of 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida, Trump proposed that all teachers should arm themselves with concealed weapons as a solution.

He proposed the NRA-backed idea during a White House listening session with the surviving students and parents of the violent attack on Februrary 14.

The president's unintelligible blabber on arming teachers with guns got the parody treatment in a viral video that surfaced on Thursday.

Twitter user @SpikedCranium adeptly spliced in dramatic reactions found on the Internet to hilarious effect. The various cameos appear intermittently throughout Trump's mumbling, with reactions depicting confusion and admonishment.

As the president fumbles with his words, we're trying to make sense of what he's saying.

If you had a teacher who was adept at firearms they could very well end the attack very quickly. Ad the good thing about a suggestion like that, and we're gonna be looking at it very strongly and I think a lot of people are gonna be opposed to it, I think a lot of people are gonna like it. But the good thing is that you'll have a lot of people with that. And so that would be certainly a situation that is being discussed a lot by a lot of people.

The ramblings continue for what seems like an eternity, but the GIFs added serious entertainment value.

When Trump finally opens the floor for questions, the added clip from the 1995 Adam Sandler comedy, Billy Madison, perfectly summed up the general consensus.

What you've just said, is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points. And may God have mercy on your soul.

The parody earned the user more Twitter followers.

Finding the most appropriate GIF is a skill.

There was plenty of laughter to go around.

When you have to hear that voice, the visuals certainly eased the pain.

So what's the Academy Award equivalent for best parody on the Internet?

In addition to survivors from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, the session held inside the White House State Dining Room also included Vice President Mike Pence, Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, and parents of victims from the Sandy Hook and Columbine shootings.

After listening to his assembled guests opening up and revisiting painful wounds, Trump said, "Thank you for pouring out your hearts because the world is watching and we're going to come up with a solution."

Not everyone accepted the invitation be a part of the session that day.

David Hogg, a student who is a strong advocate for gun control, declined the invitation, according to his mother, Rebecca Boldrick.

"His point was [Trump needs] to come to Parkland, we're not going there," said Boldrick.

Trump Adviser's Chess Analogy After Trump's Meeting With Canadian Prime Minister Is Epic Self-Own

President Donald Trump's adviser Stephen Miller was mocked online after he used a chess reference to heap praise onto Trump after his Oval office meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Canadian voters returned the Liberal Party to power for a fourth consecutive term after Trump repeatedly threatened Canadian sovereignty amid an ongoing trade war. Carney made defending Canada’s sovereignty a cornerstone of his campaign, pushing back forcefully against Trump’s threats to annex the country as “the 51st state.”

People In Long-Term Relationships Explain What Love Feels Like To Them Now

While some people wax nostalgic about the "good old days" when everyone stayed married, the reality is that there were almost no options for divorced women. There were very few for widows either.

Longevity in relationships was more about necessity and no other choices than devotion. Now that divorce is easily accessible, longterm relationships are more likely to be a choice.
