Last week, it was announced Trevor Noah would be leaving The Daily Show after seven years. In 2015, Noah took over hosting duties from Jon Stewart who sat behind the desk for 16 years.

Since the news of Noah's departure, many have been wondering who will fill his seat. If that decision was up to the buzz on Twitter, the position would go to Samantha Bee.

Below is only a glimpse of the overwhelming rally for Bee's takeover.

Bee served as a correspondent on The Daily Show for 12 years, leaving in 2015 before hosting her own show Full Frontal with Samantha Bee in 2016.

Many believe Bee should have taken over when Stewart exited, though she previously revealed she was never considered for the job.

Earlier this year, it was announced Full Frontal with Samantha Bee was canceled after 7 seasons.

Perhaps hosting The Daily Show is just what she—and late night television—needs.
