Nanny Calls Out Family For Forcing Her To Bring Her Own Food If She Wants To Eat On The Job

Nanny Calls Out Family For Forcing Her To Bring Her Own Food If She Wants To Eat On The Job

It's funny how sometimes making a joke can lead to a major change in someone's life.

For instance, a nanny might make a joke about her working conditions, only for her to begin questioning the point of working there.

The nanny, who goes by braonain—@braonain1—on TikTok, posted a video as a joke, depicting the random assortment of foods she brought with her for her job, since her current employer forbade her from eating their food.

She wrote in the caption:

"Yeah, don't ask me about my food choices... First time having a family tell me I can't eat their food, but it's all good."

Her caption made sense because she included soup, snacks and fruit. It was nutritious enough and would undoubtedly get her through the day, but the selection was random enough.

You can watch the video here:

Yeah don’t ask about my food choices.. first time having a family tell me I can’t eat there food but it’s all good 🤣 #nanny #funny #nannyfamily

She also commented on the video, clarifying she was making a joke rather than complaining.

But the video quickly gained momentum and went viral, with more than 3600 heated comments.

Fellow TikTokers were passionate, not over the food the TikToker brought with her, but about what it said about the nanny's employer that they didn't want her to eat their food while working in their house.

Not only did these TikTokers question the job, but they suggested quitting.

After receiving so much feedback, the TikToker shared a very brief update.

This is one of those instances where we have to wonder if the TikToker went to the platform looking for support, but disguised it as a joke to avoid making waves.

Because while braonain may have gone into this wanting to make a joke about how she planned to care for herself while on the job that particular day, she came away not feeling as great about her working conditions.

Perhaps it will lead her to a better position and a family that makes her feel more appreciated.
