Podcaster Sofia Franklyn received backlash after claiming that she won't date guys unless she can see their bank account information straightaway.
In a TikTok clip that has gone viral, Franklyn maintained she was totally serious about her criteria for dating guys.
"I'm not joking," she said, adding, "I've asked the last three dudes I've dated for their bank account info on the first date."
Her guest Leo Skepi said that while he didn't "judge people's actions" he was curious about "the intention behind it."
When he asked what motivated her to make such a personal inquiry, she stated matter-of-factly:
“I only want to date a wealthy guy that has money."
“I think, you know, I have a job, I’m very successful, so I think I have every f—king right to be like, ‘Hi, are we on the same level?"
"Or am I wasting my time?’”

Commenters were understandably divided.
One camp thought her demand was warranted and that she was entitled to a relationship in which a potential suitor either made a salary comparable to or greater than hers.
But an overwhelming majority thought her invasive and straightforward approach to getting financial assurance from a suitor was audacious and downright off-putting.
Some guys entertained the idea of complying, but only under certain conditions.
Well, at least her intentions are clear.
