Rita Moreno, an esteemed member of the EGOT club, recently discussed her role in The Prank on The View. The 92-year-old icon, with an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony to her name, shared her approach to playing a mean teacher falsely accused of murder.
Reflecting on her performance in The Prank, she revealed her inspiration for her acting choices.
"I just thought, how am I going to play this terrible person? And I thought of all the women in my life — particularly in show business — who'd really been awful to me. All of these bitches. I thought, I'm going to use all of the things that they did with me and my little Puerto Rican past, and that's what I do. Boy was that fun!"
When asked to name names, Moreno replied with a sly smile, "Too many, unfortunately."
Director Maureen Bharoocha praised Moreno's unexpected performance, describing it as "deliciously devilish."

Some thought that, at her age, she's earned the right to air some dirty laundry.
Or that she looks really good for 92.

Some people called for her to name the actresses she was channeling.
People wanted to know for entirely non-violent reasons, of course.
Some folks were excited for the actual movie she was promoting.
The Prank will be in theaters on March 15th.
