P!nk recently explained the inspiration behind music from her latest album, Hurts 2B Human, in which she addressed her personal battles with anxiety, marriage, self-love and addiction.

In one of the songs, "Happy," the 39-year-old singer songwriter told USA Today that it was about the time she had a miscarriage when she was 17.

"Since I was 17, I've always hated my body / and it feels like my body's hated me."

P!nk delved deeper into the conflict she had with her body.

"The reason I said [that] is because I've always had this very tomboy, very strong gymnast body, but actually at 17 I had a miscarriage. And I was going to have that child."

She's had several miscarriages since, but wants to shatter the stigma associated with the topic that many avoid discussing.

"But when that happens to a woman or a young girl, you feel like your body hates you and like your body is broken, and it's not doing what it's supposed to do. I've had several miscarriages since, so I think it's important to talk about what you're ashamed of, who you really are and the painful (expletive). I've always written that way."

It wasn't until five years later, at the time she released her second album "Missundaztood," when she sought therapy at 22.

She remains grateful for her best friend and former assistant, Laura Wilson, who initially urged her to seek help.

"I believe in self-confrontation and just getting things out."
"What I love about therapy is that they'll tell you what your blind spots are. Although that's uncomfortable and painful, it gives you something to work with."

The "So What" singer continued talking about how her strong sense of humor plays to her advantage.

"I think the reason I can go to such uncomfortable places and be so honest is because I have a really healthy sense of humor. I'm extremely self-deprecating, and when (expletive) goes bad – which in any life is inevitable – you've just got to find the funny. It's because I can laugh that I can cry so hard."

The singer also mentions the relationship with her husband, motocross racer Carey Hart, whom she met in 2001 and married in 2006.

The couple attended therapy together during a yearlong break in 2008 in the hopes they would resolve their differences. In February 2010, P!nk announced they got back together.

They have been in couple's counseling for nearly 17 years.

"We come from broken families, and we had no model for: How are we supposed to keep this family together and live this crazy life? And there's no book that says, 'Here's how to do this.' So we go to counseling, and it works," she told Carson Daly on Today.

"He's the biggest part of my village," P!nk said about her man.

"Hurts 2B Human" is "not as angsty and marital as previous records. There's certainly not a place for 'So What' right now," she said, referring to the 2009 song dealing with their separation at the time.

They have two children, Willow Sage, 7, and Jameson Moon, 2.

P!nk continues to inspire people by sharing her painful past.

Thanks for always keeping it real, P!nk.

Trump Adviser's Chess Analogy After Trump's Meeting With Canadian Prime Minister Is Epic Self-Own

President Donald Trump's adviser Stephen Miller was mocked online after he used a chess reference to heap praise onto Trump after his Oval office meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney.

Canadian voters returned the Liberal Party to power for a fourth consecutive term after Trump repeatedly threatened Canadian sovereignty amid an ongoing trade war. Carney made defending Canada’s sovereignty a cornerstone of his campaign, pushing back forcefully against Trump’s threats to annex the country as “the 51st state.”

People In Long-Term Relationships Explain What Love Feels Like To Them Now

While some people wax nostalgic about the "good old days" when everyone stayed married, the reality is that there were almost no options for divorced women. There were very few for widows either.

Longevity in relationships was more about necessity and no other choices than devotion. Now that divorce is easily accessible, longterm relationships are more likely to be a choice.
