A tiny owl has enjoyed a lucky escape after he was discovered by a worker helping to prepare the giant Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York.

The owl, now named Rockefeller, was discovered on Monday dehydrated and hungry but otherwise unharmed, said Ellen Kalish, director and founder of the Ravensbeard Wildlife Center where the bird was taken.

Kalish said the bird is an adult male Saw-whet owl, one of the tiniest of the species. It was taken to a vet on Wednesday and got a clean bill of health.

“He's had a buffet of all-you-can-eat mice, so he's ready to go," she said.

She said the plan was to release the owl back into the wild this weekend.

The tree, a 75ft Norway spruce, had been brought to Manhattan on Saturday from Oneonta, New York.

The tree is put in place and then decorated over some weeks before being lit for the public in early December 2nd.

We can all agree he is the cutie we needed to improve 2020 Christmas.

Many want this story to turn into a children's book, and we gotta say we agree.

Thank you for making our spirits just a little bit brighter this year, little Rockefeller.

Dept. Of Energy Roasted After Posting Bonkers Light Switch Meme To Praise Trump

The U.S. Department of Energy was mocked online after it shared a photo of President Donald Trump signing executive orders next to an image of a hand turning a light switch on—a bizarre meme that had people scratching their heads wondering what in the world the department was aiming for.

The official X account posted the meme without a caption or a comment of any kind—just one of many posts in recent days lauding the Trump administration and particularly Secretary Chris Wright for ensuring that "energy equals freedom" and that the U.S. has entered a "golden age of liquid gold."

Tim Walz Perfectly Explains Why Trump Running The Country 'Like A Business' Is A Bad Idea
